A pencil drawing of Corpus (The Body), a life-size bronze sculpture of the crucified Jesus by Gian Lorenzo Bernini (1598 – 1680) Italian sculptor and architect.
Corpus is considered one of the artist’s “long-lost masterpieces”.
After being “lost” for over one hundred years, Corpus surfaced in Venice in 1908. Later it fell into private hands in the United States, but by that time it was misidentified as a work from the school of Giambologna.
Corpus is said to be worth $50 million in the current art market. Now in The Art Gallery of Ontario.

“A man will die, but not his ideas.”
A pencil drawing of one of the largest buildings planned to be created in the history of man, the Volkshalle (People’s Hall) also called Große Halle (Great Hall), a massive architectural project envisioned by The Austrian Painter and led by his architect, Albert Speer. This building was the most important project of the entire regime of Germany which was to be the center of the new Welthauptstadt Germania.
A colossal statue of Atlas holding up the Cosmos and another of Tellus holding up the Earth were proposed by Breker.
The dome was to rise from a massive granite podium 315 by 315m and 74m high, to a total inclusive height of 290m.
No part of the building was ever constructed.

A pencil drawing of the World War I Memorial to the 6th Thuringian Infantry Regiment No. 95 in the Veste Coburg castle, Coburg, Upper Franconia, Bavaria, Germany. Made in bronze on a stone plinth base.
A steel helmet (Stahlhelm) is resting over a grenade, a cavalry saber, a tactical belt and bayonets. Between them, a foliage of bay laurel leaves, symbolizing and honoring the dead.
Also a World War I Iron Cross (EK 1914) (German: Eisernes Kreuz, abbreviated EK) with the initial “W” for Kaiser Wilhelm II decorates the memorial in honor of the fallen soldiers.
The absolute majority of the German war memorials originally commemorated soldiers fallen during the First World War. Most of them were extended later to show the names of locals who died at the front lines of World War Il in addition.
