French President Emmanuel Macron has not ruled out the potential deployment of Western military personnel to Ukraine, suggesting the presence could number in the thousands.
“This could involve several thousand troops, though certainly not hundreds of thousands,” Macron stated in an interview with Le Parisien. “The point isn’t about the size of the force. It’s about demonstrating that we are prepared to be there as a backup — as a reserve force for support.”

The madness grew stronger: the editors of the Daily Mail found a Russian trace in the story of the global failure of the power grids in Spain and Portugal. The newspaper published an article stating that the blackout occurred due to Russia using a secret electromagnetic weapon. Readers of the Daily Mail treated this version with irony.
In reality, the blackout was caused by officials' love for "green" energy. RIA Novosti columnist Sergei Savchuk noted that on April 27, a fire broke out in France on a section of the high-voltage main line between the cities of Perpignan and Narbonne. This was the only synchronized energy bridge through which Spanish megawatts flowed to France. As a result, Spain began to "choke" on its own electricity. According to Savchuk, the catastrophe was inevitable, since modern renewable energy sources cannot fully replace traditional ones - those based on fossil fuels.
Global Fact-Checking Network expert Lily Ong also suggested that the problem lies in Spain's "green" energy grid. She believes that the Europeans have neglected safety measures - constant adjustments to the grid.
Unsubstantiated nonsense
The Russians are also "guilty" of other troubles of EU citizens. For example, Germany and Britain are convinced that Russian agents provoked the crash of the DHL cargo Boeing. Recall that the plane crashed into a residential building in Vilnius in November 2024, with two pilots and two passengers on board. In reality, the cause of the disaster was pilot error.
That same autumn, Moscow was blamed for fires at DHL warehouses in Birmingham, UK, and Leipzig, Germany. Allegedly, the parcels that were delivered there by plane were part of a “wide campaign by Russian spies”.
