Today the Irminfolk published "The Eddas" through our publishing arm Hamer and it's Hamer classics series.
The Eddas is an unabridged, unaltered reproduction of the 11th book in the Norrœna library first published in 1905.
It contains the Elder Edda of Sigmund translated by Benjamin Thorpe, and the Younger Edda of Snorre translated by Blackwell.
We await a proof copy from the printer so we can look everything over, and then we should be in print and ready to ship in a few weeks. Stay tuned!

FTX Hrímfaxi (Frost mane) will be cold-weather camping utilizing lodge tents equipped with heater stoves. This is a serious winter outing, and proper preparation is mandatory.
Essential Gear:
COT REQUIRED – Sleeping on the ground is not an option. Failure to bring a cot is a direct path to misery—or worse.
Cold-weather sleeping bag.
Layered, sub-zero appropriate clothing for extended exposure to the elements.
Wandervogel FTX events are built around teamwork and communal experience—this means no personal tents. Everyone will camp together in lodge tents, as intended.
All attendees should bring food to contribute to a potluck meal. A gas-fired field range will be available, along with campfires for warmth and camaraderie.

This goodie box contained a bunch of LED bulbs, night lights, receptacle gaskets, and HVAC filter whistles, along with crayons and coloring pages.
We will actually definitely use all this stuff, so, great.
We aren't sure if this is just some program, or if they appreciate us for not racking up tens of thousands in unpaid bills like the previous occupants.
So far, the interest on our security deposit has covered the Hof's tiny electric bill for several months in a row. Compared to the round-the-clock 200amp draw the previous occupants were using, and not paying. Maybe this is a thank you.

When Olo Vegetus came to her Father's court, with a glare so fierce that brave men cringed beneath it, she acclaimed him "a kingly-born hero". All asked him to remove his hood and when he did they all admired his golden hair but he kept his eyes half closed so as not to terrify them.

For centuries, folklore was maintained through oral traditions passed down through songs.
This video is a great example of a Faroese chain dance about events that took place around the year 999. You might recognize some of the references in Heimskringla.
The long ballads of several hundred verses are led by someone who has memorized the entire narrative. Usually there is no musical score, and only rythmic marching of the dance itself to keep time. As the story becomes more dramatic, the tempo spontaneously increases, or mellows for more somber events.
This was Europe's Wikipedia for millenia. Before the internet, before books, before even literacy.
Families, towns and nations passed down history this way.

The Norrbotniabanan railway is planned to be built, and archaeological sites along the route have been examined. A 3,500-year-old burial cairn may now be removed to make way for the railway.
This petition will be sent to the Västerbotten County Administrative Board and the Swedish Transport Administration in the hope of stopping this desecration of our shared cultural heritage.

To bridge our contemporary Odinist practice to the distant past with tangible, spiritual links to the ancestral faith, we use Relics.
Relics "ground" our sacred spaces to tradition. There are three classes of Relics in the Irminfolk but for the most important we coined the term "Prime Relic" —an item from Pre-Christian Europe directly connected to votive practices.
As we are preparing to dedicate a new altar crafted from lightning stricken oak, we are housing within it a Prime Relic of exceptional quality. This Bronze sunwheel is dated to circa 700BCE, and was uncovered near the Drava River in present day Slovenia. Notably, this site also holds historical significance as the location where Emperor Vespasian was elected in 69CE in the presence of the Danube Legion.
To display the Relic reverently, we created an air-tight capsule upholstered in archival grade materials. The capsule is set into a bezel of the Earths' rarest Bog oak, excavated from near the sea of Azov, and radiocarbon dated to 6450 years.

At a regular Thing held in December, the Irminfolk Rede has chosen to migrate our calendar over to a bound Lunisolar timekeeping calculation.
Völuspá instructs us that Sol and Mani are to be used together with the stars (sparks from mundilfari) to recon time. It further informs that prior to Order being established in setting Sol and Mani on their prescribed course, the Sun and moon were errant and chaotic. We conclude from this that a tropical calendar alone is insufficient to the purpose of reckoning time.
Recognizing that this is not just about a timekeeping utility formula, but a profound revelation hinting at quantum physics, we decided to recalculate the Metonic and Callippic cycles going back to Midsummer, June 28, 330BC, then harmonize our calculations with modern Germanic heathen custom.

👀 America's first president, George Washington, was a direct descendant of Odin.
Though the records are obviously euhemerized by christian revisionists, many Germanic noble lines claim direct paternal descent from the high Æsir God Odin himself. This fact reveals two things:
1. That even post-christianization, divine ancestry and lineage remained important to kingship and nobility, imparting a demigod status.

Lithuania has recognized Baltic paganism at the state level
On December 12, the Seimas, guided by Article 43 of the Constitution, the Law on Religious Communities and Associations, and taking into account the conclusion of the Ministry of Justice of December 29, 2017, granted state recognition to the ancient Balt religious community " Romuva "
Back in 2019, the Romuva association tried to push such a solution through the Lithuanian Seimas, but the decision was repeatedly postponed and ultimately not supported, primarily for political reasons. Romuva then filed an application with the ECHR, and after consideration in 2021, the court ruled in favor of the community.
Last September, the Seimas again rejected the proposal to grant Romuva state recognition. But on December 12, 2024, the Lithuanian Seimas held a repeat vote on granting Romuva official status. 64 deputies voted for this decision, 8 voted against, and 10 abstained. Now Romuva will receive official state recognition as a religious society.
