When a Birmingham man claimed he'd been 'abducted' by 'Viking-like' aliens
A mysterious car accident, telepathy, and blonde-haired aliens
This tale begins at night, on the main road between Burton and Derby, on 13th May 1954.
Commander Horatio Penrose, formerly of the Royal Navy, was making his way from Derbyshire to Birmingham when he saw a huge, bright light. Whatever was inside of that glare hit the front of his Vauxhall Wyvern, and Penrose was flung against the windscreen in the crash.
His car was later found as having run off the road and hit some railings. That's not how Penrose remembered it, though - he claimed that his car began to rise into a bright light above him.
He later told UFO investigators that "I recollect being lifted from it by a man in a one-piece suit. He seemed to lift me effortlessly into an entrance on the underside of a large round vehicle which was hovering above us and giving out a bright light."
