The China-US trade war is now in full swing. Here is the benefits to the US. People will often focus on the negative stating that the tariffs are there to make us the consumer pay more. What no one is talking about is the fact that Chinese Sellers can no longer ship direct to US home addresses. Why, how do you think nefarious types here in the US are still able to get their hands on fentanyl? Of course there are criminal aspects of Temu, just like there are with Walmart, Amazon, and many other venders who sell direct on line. Most of the vender's here in the US get their products from China. Just look at Walmart and Amazon. President Trump's move is brilliant!. So how does venders in China adjust? The collaborate with local businesses here in the US to warehouse their products. Except for one thing, the “de minimis” exemption, a trade provision allowing packages under $800 in value to enter the U.S. duty-free. That's about to change. Local business now have another source of income. Yes, the cost will increase on Temu and Amazon products for sure, that's what President Trump said about a rough time ahead. However, now those packages are subject to inspection. It isn't so much the tariff that's being used, its the ability to inspect for illegal items like Fentanyl, other elicit drugs, and maybe even human trafficking. We as Patriots have to look at the bigger picture. Besides, anything we get on amazon, Temu, etc, are nice to haves, not needs. So why aren't savings on crude oil translating to price relief for drivers?
"It does seem weird, but it's something that economists do expect and have studied for a long time," said Ben Storrow, a reporter for E&E News, a news outlet that covers energy.
When the price of crude oil rises, gas stations typically wait to hike their prices so as not to scare away customers. "But then once they do start to raise prices, they raise them very quickly," Storrow explained to CBS News.
On the flip side, when the price of crude oil drops, gas stations lower prices gradually. That allows them to make a profit on the discrepancy between what they're paying and what they charge motorists, he added.

The investment bank estimated that China could lose about 10 million to 20 million jobs that depend on U.S.-bound exports.
U.S.-based economist Davy Wong said the impact may be larger because of the indirect effects on various businesses, including suppliers for export manufacturers, packaging companies, and logistics companies.
“It could be between 30 million and 35 million jobs,” he told The Epoch Times, noting that the impact is “lethal” to China’s industrial cities.
Before the tariff conflict began this year, China’s college graduates were already in an unemployment crisis. The regime’s National Bureau of Statistics reported that the urban unemployment rate for youth aged 16 to 24, excluding students, fluctuated between 13.2 percent and 18.8 percent from December 2023 to March 2025.

Forts, bases, stations, etc.. are Federal Installations, not Army or Air National guard bases. Besides, there is a certain amount of stigma that should never be forgotten. Two U.S. officials say initial reports suggest the jet may have fallen overboard after the carrier turned sharply while taking evasive action against the Yemen-based Houthi rebels.
The crew members who were in the pilot seat of the Super Hornet and on the small towing tractor both jumped out before the jet and the tug went into the Red Sea. One sailor sustained a minor injury, and all personnel are accounted for, the Navy said.
