Today, we remember and honor the great Martyr Senior Commander Sayyed Mustafa Badreddine, who was one of the commanders who had a major role in establishing Hezbollah.
Martyr Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah used to pay tribute to Sayyed Mustafa Badreddine (Sayyed Zulfiqar) every year on his martyrdom anniversary, describing him as an insightful commander with deep knowledge and a strategic mind. He once said:
“Sayyed Zulfiqar attained all honorable medals a resistance fighter could get. First, he obtained the medal of a fighter who was present in battlefields. Sayyed Zulfiqar also obtained the medal of an injured fighter and the medal of a prisoner. He took then the medal of a commander who secured achievements and victories.
