AUSTRALIANS DESERVE CHEAP, RELIABLE ENERGY
We live in a country that is blessed by an abundance of natural resources.
Libertarians will put an end to government picking winners and losers in the energy market by banning some forms of energy (such as Nuclear) while subsidising others (such as wind and solar).
We think Nuclear energy shouldn't be banned - but we disagree with Dutton that the government should be in the Nuclear energy business as an owner of assets at the cost of the taxpayer.
For the same reasons, we oppose government subsidies to energy sources like wind and solar, because they distort the incentives for investment and expose the taxpayer to the risk of a grifting renewables lobby.
A vote for the Libertarian Party is a vote for cheap, reliable energy with decisions being made by the market, rather than ideologically motivated bureaucrats.
