Good Afternoon, from The Verdant Kingdom! Happy Easter, if you celebrate.

Here is a look at my stencil transfer. I create my transfers by hand using my original artwork, tracing paper, pencil, and a light box.

This is what the pattern looks like after transferring it to linoleum.

Next comes carving out around the design left on the linoleum block.
What is everyone reading these days? We're onto our third Poul Anderson book.

So far we've read, The Broken Sword, Mother of Kings, and now, Hrolf Kraki's Saga.

Viktor picked this one out of stack I had set on the table. He liked the cover art. Can't blame him!

Good evening, from the Verdant Kingdom!

The bloodroot, fern, black hellebore, and Virginia blue bells are pushing through the soil just in time for the Equinox tomorrow.

Currently reading Mother of Kings by Poul Anderson.

The story is a 10th century historical fiction based on the life of Gunnhild as given in Egil's Saga and Heimskringla.

I would definitely recommend it to any ladies interested in the feminine aspects of Northern fantasy, magic, and myth.

Although Gunnhild's character is intensely head-strong, all of her power moves are for the increase of her ancestral line- for the strengthening of the blood, the family, and their namesake.

Conjuring a new design. BEHOLD! He is Mugwort!
:X:

A gift for a gift.

This is a patch of wild ramps I planted where I like to collect ferns. They are in their second year.

Good evening from The Verdant Kingdom.

As many of you know, we live in a tiny house in the woods. When my husband and I decided to have our son, a lot of my hobbies like Jiu-Jitsu and my art work were put aside.

My art hobbies were literally put aside, put away, and packed up to make room for our sweet boy. I've been slowly getting stuff back out.

Today during nap time I was able to print a new design and two old ones.

What should I make next?

'Live Or Die Tomorrow'

"Through cloud, and rock, and mountains sharp
Now weary are my feet
If now I sleep and disappear
None will hear, none will hear

Though I will walk through fields alone
Winds will blow, rivers run
The sun will fall and stars will shine
And show the way by night

To waters of the Western Seas
Where none can die I'll hide
Over forests and through the dark
Metal, earth, and sorrow

A mountain rich with golden halls
Five armies there will meet
A battle fought, though I will not
The King will loose his seat

Now sun has fell and all is well
But stars they do not shine
I'll sing to warm my heart for now
Find my way tomorrow

What song to fill this night so dark?
Of deeds brave and noble
From dream of steel and death I wake
From loss, shadow, and ash

One star dim through the mist I see
It will fade, it will fade
What lies along this road I tread,
For none to see but me?

By cloud, and rock, and mountains sharp
I'll find my friends and fight
We'll fill the sky with stars so bright
Live or die tomorrow

Live or die tomorrow"

We just finished reading, The Hobbit.

We spend much time quoting, singing songs from, and thinking about the Tolkien masterpiece.

My favorite song about the book is "Live or Die Tomorrow" written by Mathieu Sly and sung by his brother, Philippe Sly as a fan piece.

The song is about Bilbo's inner turmoil before the battle of five armies.
