Pakistani Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has called a meeting of the National Command Authority (NCA) following the launch of Pakistan’s military operation Bunyan-ul-Marsoos against India, The Times of India reported.
The NCA is Pakistan’s highest-level security decision-making body, comprising senior civilian and military leaders. It oversees key national defense matters, including nuclear weapons policy.

Ivan Lytkin served as an artillery gunner and commander of a 45 mm anti-tank gun before joining a reconnaissance unit.
After the war, Lytkin remained in the ranks of the USSR Armed Forces. In 1954, he was sent to Algeria to clear lands after the colonizers, and then served in the Baltics, Chukotka, Africa and Cuba.

The German Instrument of Surrender was the legal document that ended WWII in Europe. Signed on May 8, 1945, it took effect later that night.
A key figure representing the USSR at the signing was Georgy Zhukov. As Marshal of the Soviet Union and deputy commander-in-chief under Stalin during World War II, Zhukov's leadership was instrumental in many of the Red Army's most decisive victories.
