Ayatollah Khamenei and those close to him have drawn the proper conclusions from the last few years to a certain extent in that they realise it is possible to neutralise most US sanctions now. This can be done via trade with Russia, China and India and other BRICS nations. The "need" for relations with the west has fallen away and it was the Ukraine war which put paid to that finally. Of course there will need to be may more struggles in both Russia and Iran to get on the right path as only a planned economy can properly navigate around the sanctions imposed by the imperialist countries but the defeat of imperialism is clear to see here.

President Lukashenko has helped his country defy all the odds and repel all attempts to turn it into a vassal state with a broken economy and a comprador ruling elite.

Rather than allowing its people to be turned against one another and transformed into cannon fodder for imperialist wars, Belarus has steered its own course and built further on the industrial and agricultural base it inherited from the Soviet Union.

Having been encouraged by the USA to leave their homeland and come to the west, Venezuelan migrants are now being deported as criminals to prisons in El Salvador.

This theatre is aimed at convincing the US working class that immigrants really are the source of their problem, and that by ‘getting tough’ on migrant workers, the Trump White House is somehow their friend.

But for as long as US workers go along with such divisive lies, they will remain weak and manipulable as their class enemies continue to pass the burden of the global economic crisis onto their backs.

This week I spoke with Garland Nixon about imperialism's systematic use of divide and rule tactics to maintain its grip on power and its ability to loot the world.

We discussed how the root of the Kashmir crisis, as with so many other problems on the Indian subcontinent, lies in the British stirring up of communal tensions and the bloody partition of that land, which aimed to keep all India's people permanently poor and exploitable. And how the solution lies in breaking these patterns and building rapprochement and cooperation between India-Pakistan and India-China.

We also discussed the two uses of fascist forces which imperialism turns to as its system loses legitimacy in the eyes of the masses.

First as an ideologically-motivated spearhead for enforcing its flagging domination abroad. This has been a continuous policy of the imperialists and is particularly evident today – as is evidenced by the fascist proxy mercenary forces of Banderite Ukraine, of zionist Israel, and of wahhabist Syria, Sahel and Xinjiang, as well as in the rabid anticommunist proxies of south Korea, Taiwan and Venezuela. All of them bankrolled and directed by Anglo-American imperialism.

Meanwhile on the home front, outright fascism will be the last resort of finance capital in the face of a rising working-class movement for socialism. In the meantime, we have a controlled 'far right' opposition that acts to coral one section of workers back into the camp of social democracy ('Vote Labour to keep the fascists out!') while another section is conned into believing that figures such as Britain's Nigel Farage, France's Marine Le Pen, Italy's Georgia Meloni and Germany's AfD represent some kind of real rebellion against the system.

In fact, these bogeymen are as much servitors of finance capital as are the Labour party social democrats. They would not otherwise be given so much publicity! Their fundamental purpose is to promote a hysterical narrative around immigration that aims to keep the working class divided and weak – and looking to its class enemies for salvation.

COMMUNIST PARTY MARXIST KENYA
Central Organizing Committee Statement
FREE COMRADE DARWIN WANGECHI! DOWN WITH STATE REPRESSION!

The Communist Party Marxist Kenya (CPMK) condemns in the strongest terms the arbitrary arrest and continued detention of Comrade Darwin Wangechi, a committed Party cadre and organiser, who was seized from his home in Laikipia County on Thursday, 16th April 2025 by the local Chief under the directive of the repressive state apparatus.

https://x.com/bookerbiro/status/1913875957745668298?s=46&t=C4zaA1S4WwjdLo1rpD8Cfg

Since his arrest, Comrade Darwin has been denied access to legal representation. Neither his family nor Party comrades have been permitted to visit him in detention. He remains behind bars without clear charges, as the state scrambles to fabricate reasons to justify his continued imprisonment.

The regime now claims to be investigating him for so-called “cybercrime”a baseless accusation clearly designed to keep him detained and disrupt his revolutionary work. This is a calculated manoeuvre, part of a familiar script used by the state to criminalise dissent and suppress political organisers. His arrest on a Thursday was no coincidence; it was a deliberate move to ensure he remains in custody over the weekend, without access to judicial recourse.

The targeting of Comrade Darwin is not an isolated incident. It is part of a broader campaign of intimidation waged against revolutionary forces by a decaying, comprador state that serves imperialist interests. His only “crime” is his unchanging commitment to the struggle of the poor and oppressed in Laikipia and across Kenya.

The Communist Party Marxist Kenya and its Revolutionary Youth League firmly reject these false accusations and demand Comrade Darwin’s immediate and unconditional release. We are clear: no amount of repression, arrests, or intimidation will silence our movement. If the state believes it can crush the revolutionary tide by jailing our comrades, it is gravely mistaken.

We call on all progressive forces, workers, students, peasants, and the Kenyan people at large to mobilise in solidarity with Comrade Darwin. Raise your voices. Organise solidarity actions. Expose the injustice. Demand his release.

We honour the courage of Comrade Darwin and all those who continue to defy the fascist machinery of this neo-colonial order. Let it be known: we shall not retreat. We shall not be intimidated. We shall organise, resist, and advance!

Free Comrade Darwin Now!
Down with State Repression!
Victory to the People’s National Democratic Revolution!
Ruto Must Go!

It is the official antiwar movement in the west that bears a huge responsibility for the fall of the Syrian Arab Republic (secular, sovereign and anti-zionist) and the terrible suffering in Syria today.

Not only did they not mobilise against the war, they endlessly repeated the anti-Syria propaganda of the imperialists.

Every prominent 'leader' who mouths platitudes about 'supporting Palestine' while cheering the fall of 'dictator Assad' is an enemy of Palestine and of the working class at home.

We will make no progress until they are exposed and chased out of our movement.

Rats are proliferating along with the rubbish heaps on Birmingham’s streets, as binmen refuse to accept the demand of the bankrupt council’s financial commissioners that refuse workers should take huge pay cuts in order to help fix finances they had nothing to do with breaking.

Indeed, the roots of this crisis in local authority funding go all the way back to the bank bailouts of 2008 – a fact about which media and politicians alike are keeping very quiet.

🥇 The CIA feared that the USSR would... reduce the working day

The Soviet Union proposed this measure and doubled the standard of living to solve the problems it was facing at the time, such as the lack of wage control, insufficient economic efficiency, and a shortage of urban labour. Why did it work? And why did it worry the U.S. so much?

In 1956, the USSR implemented a wage increase that, within a decade, increased from 250 rubles per month to 500 and 600 for rural and urban workers respectively. It also reduced the working week from 48 hours to 41 over four years, with a view to further reducing it to 35 by 1968.

At first, the CIA was not concerned because it believed that reducing working hours would limit Soviet production and productivity, but by 1961, it was deeply concerned (remember, we are in the midst of the Cold War) that not only had these conditions not been affected, but they had actually improved in most cases.

With the reduction in working hours, hourly output increased by 10.5% in three years and by 10% in four. Employees performed better because they arrived more rested, given their more free time. Unemployment decreased, as more labour had to be hired to fill the vacant hours.

The reduction of the workday also enabled Soviet innovation. Since managers could no longer rely on long hours, they were forced to find advanced methods and develop new and improved technology to shorten working hours. This boosted both light and heavy industry.

🇺🇸NEW VIDEO: US "Peace" President Drops Bombs, Green-Lights New Warplane

On YouTube: https://youtu.be/wKLL-7S_cGk

▪️Despite distancing itself from the corporate-funded “Project 2025” policy papers, the Trump administration is now systematically implementing every aspect of the policy blueprint;

▪️The Trump administration has announced what is likely to be a multi-trillion dollar, over-budget, over-schedule 6th generation warplane built by notoriously corrupt and incompetent aerospace manufacturer Boeing - the stated purpose according to the Trump administration is to establish air dominance around the globe (rather than defending American airspace);

▪️As the Trump administration continues Biden-era wars, US Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth has proposed renaming the Department of Defense to the “Department of War,” part of a disturbing trend of embracing militarism and war abroad;

▪️As the US continues negotiating with Russia regarding the war in Ukraine, it poses as a “mediator” in what is actually its own proxy war on Russia, demonstrating dishonesty and bad faith;

▪️Senior members of the Trump administration “accidentally” invited a member of the US media into a Signal chat group discussing military operations against Yemen, most likely as an attempt to reinforce propaganda points regarding a supposed US-European “split,” and distract away from US operations against Yemen ultimately being part of a wider proxy war on Iran;

▪️Also this week, President Trump has endorsed pro-war, pro-interventionist neocon Lindsey Graham for reelection - casting serious doubt on the Trump administration’s goal of fighting against, rather than propping up what is often referred to as the “deep state;”

The aim of the imperialists on both sides of the Atlantic remains the total subjugation and destruction of both Russia and China, simply because the depth of their economic crisis requires such a bonanza in order to revitalise saturated markets and stave off economic catastrophe.

Workers must ask themselves whether they are prepared to pay the blood price demanded in the interests of maintaining the current exploitative relations.

⭕️ ALEKSANDR DUGIN AND THE GLOBAL FAR RIGHT: THE “REVOLUTIONARY” DISGUISE OF CAPITALISM / by C. García Vera

"Dugin is an international benchmark for reactionary thought in its most refined and dangerous form."

◼️ In a context of political decomposition and ideological disorientation, the new global far right has learned to speak the language of rebellion. With rhetoric that presents itself as "alternative" against "globalist elites ," it offers a dangerous illusion of dissent. Beneath its "anti-system" veneer lies a sophisticated and authoritarian defense of the capitalist order.

◼️The "anti-establishment" movements that the system had been anxiously awaiting have finally arrived. Taking advantage of the justified rejection of the establishment parties by a large part of the population and, above all, the absence of a real , socially influential left, the new far-right movements in Europe and the United States proudly present themselves as 21st-century rebels, with aggressive aesthetics and "politically incorrect" discourse.

◼️They proclaim themselves as patriots against "globalism," with a superficial message against "liberal elites" and the ever-popular Agenda 2030. Some even present themselves as enemies of imperialism ... but are they really an alternative ?

Scratching the surface reveals a very different reality. These movements—with their nationalist banners, apocalyptic rhetoric , and "traditionalist" aspirations — not only fail to question capitalism , but rather prop it up, cloaking it in archaic symbols and a reactionary mythology.

"The trick the new populist right uses to sell its political agenda is to present itself as "outsiders," even though it represents the interests of different sectors of the bourgeoisie."
◼️However, in an era marked by ideological confusion and lacking in truly revolutionary alternatives, there are many who are taken in by these siren songs . And if there is one thinker who has served as a point of connection between this new mutant far right, the geopolitical interests of emerging powers such as   Russia   and even legitimate aspirations of independence of many nations from the so-called Global South, that is Aleksandr Dugin.
(...)

His discourse is not presented as far-right, but as "revolutionary"—although what he seeks to revolutionize is not the capitalist order, but the modern order. This is key to understanding why, although at first glance he may appear to be a "critic of the system," his proposal is profoundly functional to the maintenance of capitalism, in an authoritarian, hierarchical, and theocratic version.
(...)

Based on this worldview, it is understandable that Dugin does not seek to end the ills of society by overthrowing the capitalist system to build a more just and egalitarian social order, but rather to promote a return to the "traditional order" : God, Fatherland, Hierarchy, which, for him, represent the "essence" of Russia . His ideal of society is authoritarian, religious, and deeply reactionary.
(...)

BRIEF EPILOGUE FOR CONFUSED READERS

The new international political situation seems chaotic: unexpected alliances, words that change meaning, enemies masquerading as liberators. But there is one compass that remains unwavering, and it is this: always ask what relationship a discourse has with the structure of economic power.

When someone talks to you about "defending traditional values," "the family," or the "nation," just ask them what they think about ownership of the means of production. If anything unites all these movements, and their main ideologues, it is that they are false dissidents working to uphold an unjust order, waving flags of patriotism and tradition and shouting empty speeches against "the global elite . "

The wretched stance of the trade union movement in relation to the war in Ukraine, which has been characterised by abject support for British imperialism up to and including vocal support for open Nazis, exposes once again the truth of Josef Stalin’s description of social democracy as ‘the moderate wing of fascism’.

Today, as the imperialists seek to convince working people that they should be backing the continuation of Nato’s war and the provision of ever more arms and money to its fascist proxies, TUC leaders are not only not opposing this drive to war but are actually demanding it go further and faster.

⭕️ The new rise of the far right in Europe: Hitler's heirs

Across Europe, far-right movements are resurfacing, positioning themselves as "patriots," "defenders of European traditions," and "national interests." However, beneath this facade lies a mixture of nationalism, anti-immigrant rhetoric, and sympathy for fascism.

The far right has mastered the art of masking its extremist ideologies with populist appeals and patriotic rebranding, making it appealing to a long-standing audience steeped in chauvinism.

(...)The European economy is experiencing a recession, which is creating tensions in society and increasing protests.

This rise of far-right parties benefits the capitalists who exploit them. What is the main reason for their growth? The main reason lies in socioeconomic relations.

▪️ Its rise is deeply rooted in the material conditions created by capitalism. Periods of economic crisis, marked by inequality, unemployment, and alienation, generate massive discontent among the working class and wider society . Rather than addressing the real contradictions of capitalism, far-right ideologies scapegoat marginalized groups or appeal to nationalism, providing a reactionary outlet for all frustration .

▪️ Their rhetoric serves to mask the true source of discontent: the exploitative nature of the capitalist system , and in doing so, divides the working class.

▪️The key aspect here is the direct support the bourgeoisie provides to these groups through its monopolized media .

Far-right rhetoric spreads through billionaire media outlets. The widespread public disillusionment caused by declining living standards creates a fertile breeding ground for right-wing extremism.

Recently, billionaire oligarch Elon Musk exemplified this by supporting and promoting the far-right AfD.

▪️ As a result, the bourgeoisie achieves its goal: the rise of far-right forces . This leads to the fragmentation of the working class and the creation of a shock force of capitalists (squadrists) to strike at the workers.

It embodies the same reactionary ideologies as its predecessors. By changing its image from fascists to "patriots," the far right presents itself as a supposed solution.

But what do these parties propose to "fix" society's problems? They claim that migrants are the root cause of all problems.

▪️Far-right rhetoric manipulates working-class grievances, fueling animosity and distrust toward those perceived as different. This divisive narrative denies the possibility of collective progress and class solidarity, fostering hatred toward migrants.

Such tactics intentionally fuel division, obscuring systemic problems and the real causes of working-class problems. Blaming migrants for all problems is a trick of the far right.

▪️ The focus of attention shifts from the exploitative capitalist to the migrants: that is, it shifts from the victimizer to the most battered victims . [A person forced to migrate due to the capitalist plundering of their country of origin will be more vulnerable to the predation of employers: to being subjected to exploitation in semi-slavery.]

▪️ The decline of the welfare state, rising inequality, and job insecurity stem from systemic issues inherent to capitalism.

The dismantling of public services, privatization and austerity policies, driven primarily by profit motives , create conditions in which wages stagnate, social support declines and competition between workers intensifies .
