“I worked at Wallgreen years ago as an shift lead manager when they rolled out a campaign that EVERY employee, after EVERY SINGLE interaction, we were expected to say:
“BE WELL “
So I sat through this half-hour presentation with some voice-over of an elderly woman reading a supposed real letter from a customer saying :
“how touched she was when a pharmacist told her to "be well."
This inspired some female midwit corpo manager to start this:
"branded greeting" Campaign
“DO YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS”
Corpo-Manager
“ the first one that popped into my mind was, "so we need to say BE WELL even to customer we KNOW are dying cause we sell them their terminal cancer meds."
If we had a camera on that room, it would have been viral. You could immedaly feel the tension from all the low-level boot lickers who clearly saw this retail corporate track as their future and would never rock the boat questioning an already launched corporate campaign.
The presenters got red in the face and mad awkward, and you could tell that it was my nobody ass who was the first person to pop that question in the entire QA process.
They gave me some nonsense bs answer and made it clear that, yes, it was a non-negotiable policy.
Every employee must say it every time, and they were gonna have secret shoppers going around making sure.
Well wouldn't you know it, after a slew of public backlash about how awkward and inauthentic it was that EVERY employee said it EVERY time they quietly dropped the whole thing within 6 months.
The corporate world is a disassociated nightmare and I'm glad I was only in it a few years.

American singer and actress Ariana Grande claims her memory has been erased at the Brighter Days Clinic.
Research into erasing and implanting memories have developed various techniques including drug-induced amnesia, selective memory suppression, and the disruption of specific molecular mechanisms in the brain.
One approach that we know about …involves using drugs to inhibit the creation of memories, which they say can be beneficial for patients who have PTSD….etc…
For example, D-cycloserine (DCS) has been studied for its ability to facilitate memory reconsolidation, potentially aiding in the treatment of anxiety disorders.However, results with DCS have been mixed, and dosage and timing are critical factors.
Another method involves targeting specific neural pathways.
Researchers at Stanford University used optogenetics to interrupt a neural pathway responsible for opiate-associated memories in mice, preventing relapse. This approach could potentially be adapted for treating opioid addiction in humans through deep brain stimulation.
Research on implanting memories through electrical stimulation involves using specific frequencies to affect neural circuits. For example, deep brain stimulation (DBS) at different frequencies can either enhance or erase memories. Lower-frequency DBS may attenuate the emotional content of a memory trace, while higher-frequency stimulation could selectively inactivate neurons and synapses involved in a pathological fear memory trace, potentially erasing the memory.
In experiments, frequencies ranging from 2 kHz to 160 kHz have been tested for galvanic communication between an implanted device and surface electrodes to monitor and transmit information about anterior cruciate ligament graft tension after surgery.
