A new petition is calling on the Labour government to abolish ‘non-crime hate incidents’ (NCHIs) – a controversial policing practice that undermines free speech and threatens livelihoods.
The term ‘non-crime hate incident’ refers to an incident where someone’s actions are perceived by another as being motivated by hostility or prejudice based on characteristics such as race, religion, sexual orientation, disability or transgender identity. In other words, you can be acquire a police record for an act someone feels was hateful even if no evidence that it was exists and no crime was committed.
One of the most alarming aspects of NCHIs is that they can appear on enhanced criminal record checks, potentially ruining people’s career prospects.
The petition warns that NCHIs are dangerously subjective and pose an existential threat to the public’s freedom of speech and expression. In a democratic society, no one should face professional repercussions simply for expressing a lawful opinion or engaging in open debate.
Sign the petition to demand the abolition of NCHIs. When the petition reaches 10,000 signatures, the government has to respond. At 100,000, Parliament will consider it for debate. Protect free speech – before it’s too late.

Gary police release new video in fatal officer-involved shooting during undercover investigation.
Shahaud Richmond attempted to rob an undercover officer "IN A STING OPERATION" into multiple reports of robberies linked to social media marketplace sales. He attacked him with a machete style weapon.
Shahaud's mother who said she's seen surveillance video of the incident claims, the police narrative is not true adding her son was not armed with a machete.
She said her son was selling a PlayStation video game to make money for his growing family.
Charmain said Shahaud has a 18-month-old child and a second due in just 11 days.
"His kids are lost," Lee said. "He loved them. He dedicated himself to them."
She said they should be preparing for the birth of another child, but instead, "I have the weight of the world on my shoulders and I can't stop," Lee said.

I happened upon this YouTube channel by complete accident.
To many (particularly the younger generations), it will seem like complete and utter shit content - folk of all generations enjoying a few "fally-down" waters at their local, with a mixture of good, bad, and indifferent karaoke attempts - but for me it is quite endearing to see people just relaxing and enjoying themselves, the way ordinary people have enjoyed themselves for centuries: a few hours of company with friends, and putting the world to rights over a few beers.
The pub has been demonised for the last 40 years (at least), and was systematically targeted for destruction from the Blair regime onwards.
The "Pub Network" is a real thing, because when friends and relatives visit one another from around the country, information - whether jokes, news of deaths, and yes, politics - was passed up and down the country, and was unsullied by the influence of the chattering classes and our overlords.
The main reason pubs were immediately closed (as part of the scam that was the COnVID lockdown fiasco), was because the regime knew that the "Pub Network" would immediately rubbish their bullshit through word of mouth (rather than through 24/7 propaganda via the idiot lantern), and would have immediately poo-poohed the nonsense being fed to us by the political and media establishment.
You can laugh at and/or mock these people, but I'll tell you something now, if I was having a pint, I'd rather have one in the company of these people in Coopers, or any pub like it around the UK, as opposed some sterile, faceless "gastropub".
My Dad's local - which subsequently became my own - was very much like Coopers. Not necessarily the karaoke bit (that was a later invention), but certainly the atmosphere and clientele. That pub has now been converted into a low-rent convenience store, with a pizzeria taking up what was formerly the off-sales area on one side, and with the snug now converted into an Indian takeaway on the other.
This is why seeing the live feed from Coopers, filled me with a resounding sense of nostalgia, and - unfortunately - loss.
