I believe there's a good chance Netanyahu hasn't launched a unilateral strike on Iran due to leverage Trump has over history at the moment. Specifically unpublished files on JFK's assassination & Epstein's financial/operational backing. Public disclosure of either would destroy America's support for Israel overnight.
I think there's a tug of war happening right now we can only speculate over. Trump clearly doesn't want a war with Iran, his first term proved this categorically after he leveled ISIS (thus saving Assad in Syria) then killing Solemani (an asset George W/Obama AND Netanyahu x3 times refused to kill) moments before a strike would have killed hundreds of American soldiers and drug us into an immediate hot war w/Iran.
I believe Trump is trying to save the Holy Land, that his love for israel isn't the state itself but for it's people & most importantly the physical land and the History held there. If America were to turn our back on israel, ALL of it and much much more would be destroyed (see Sampson Option) very rapidly.
If I am right, Bibi can't MAKE Trump do anything but he can do everything in his power (and the powers of bought/blackmailed assets) to weaken the non interventionalists DJT has filled his inner circle with.

Why the public push for peace with Iran?
Why hasn't China and Russia taken a more hostile position towards DJT on the issue or Iran?
Have they been assured that the US will not launch a war against Iran?
Netanyahu is psychopath who faces years in prison if and when this war against hamas ends so understand his perspective, Iran is his only option.
Will Trump succeed in this endeavor or fold, attack Iran and destroy his final term in its infancy?
I think he has a shot at pulling this off but no one knows exactly what's going to happen. This is my "reading of the tea leaves" and I could always be wrong.
I pray I am right, a war against Iran would destroy our country internally and very possibly accelerate the collapse of America overall.
