Moreover, Russian troops managed to advance on Zvirove after the fighting intensified in early May, taking a third of the locality.

The area west of Zherebets & Makiivka continued to expand towards Hrekivka, one of the last two Luhansk oblast localities under the control of Ukrainian army. In addition, further advances were made north of Novomykhailivka.
While capturing the Lypove forest the Russian forces re-entered the first houses of Ridkodub and continued to advance north and south of Kolodyazi (some positions within the locality were also taken).
