Victor 3 attack sub vs Kitti ket
On March 21, 1984, the submarine K-314 (Project 671), while tracking the US Navy's AUG during the US-Korean exercises "Tim Spirit", collided with the US aircraft carrier CV-63 "Kitty Hawk" in a submerged position near the Korean Peninsula.
As a result of the impact, the light hull, the fencing of the conning tower, the right stabilizer, the propeller of the right auxiliary propeller (on the stabilizer) were damaged and, having lost power,
was forced to surface.
After inspection from the BPK "Vladivostok", it was taken in tow and taken to Chazhma Bay, where it was put into the dock for emergency repairs.
The CV-63 "Kitty Hawk" ripped its bottom for 40 m and upon arrival at the base was put into the dock. A significant portion of the fuel escaped into the sea through the resulting hole.
