The moral and spiritual decline of this country—and much of the West—is a mirror of its 'leadership' and the warped policies pursued
I’ve lost faith in selected officials everywhere, and I’m sorry for that. I know hope matters, and I don’t want to drag anyone down with negativity, but it’s where I stand right now
With that in mind, I’m shifting my focus. I want to look inward and invest in the things that bring joy to me and my family. I’ve reached a point where I feel what’s coming is inevitable—whatever is going to happen will happen. So, I’m choosing to live my life chasing happiness and lifting my family up. Part of this means striving for more self-sufficiency. I don't want to depend on—or even deal with—a state apparatus that is so destructive. I crave independence from it
It's hard to shake the sense that we’re teetering on the edge of chaos. I know a 'final' time will come when we’ll all have to decide: stand up or give in. For me, giving in isn’t an option. That’s why I want to savour the joy I can find now, in the things still within my reach
I don’t know how everyone else feels, but for me it’s currently about seeking peace—inside and out. Shouting at the system hasn’t changed a thing, and I think a lot of us are exhausted
Maybe it’s time to step back and rest, at least until the final chapter plays out
Wishing you all a good weekend

Anyone born before the 70s will no doubt shudder and remember the 3 day week of that decade, preceeded by the refuse and dock strikes and the power workers go slow

The more I watch commentary about these tariffs, the more it looks like lock step financial moves (just via different methods) across western nations, to destroy the working and middle classes whilst funnelling money upward - the great reset in *further* action
Overall decent video attached that explains. I don't agree with everything in it, but take what resonates and leave the rest

Tariff mania -the core tension: they assume a country can ramp up domestic production and source materials locally at scale, which isn’t feasible
In the U.S. context, (given recent announcements) tariffs are going to slam into this reality hard
The U.S. doesn’t produce all the raw materials or goods it needs domestically, and scaling up isn’t a light switch they can flip on. Without scale, and additionally access to source material, manufacturers in auto, construction, tech industries etc face higher costs (or suffering shortages), as they will be stuck paying tariffs on material they can ONLY get abroad to scale up production
The U.S. imports roughly half of what it needs for its manufacturing output. 88% of semiconductors are foreign-made, 90% of their rare earths are from China, and 30% of their lumber from Canada. Domestic production of goods requiring these materials simply can’t pivot overnight. Also, building new manufacturing capacity takes years, not months
Tariffs will jack up costs because they assume self-sufficiency that doesn’t exist. They’re designed to protect or revive industries, but without scalable domestic substitutes, production costs will surely spiral. That cost increase will be passed to the consumer. Its just a form of tax. A stealth tax
Tariffs can also lead to the loss of jobs if a sector that relies on imports cannot afford to retain staff due to rising costs
There is a fantasy at play here of instant autarky. The U.S. is way too reliant on global materials and too slow to scale alternatives
I'm sorry but I don't understand how anyone thinks this is a good thing for the average American

I am seeing significant criticism levelled at UK Column for this attached segment being 'scaremongering' due to alleged framing of the APHA pre-procurement notice as a "new thing". (I don't agree - renewal was mentioned)
More importantly, I believe that some are missing the deeper point the segment was, (I think), trying to make - about broader themes of government overreach based on suspicion only, a pattern we are seeing regularly across the board in many sectors, not just agriculture
The APHA pre procurement notice in the segment is not a “new thing” - it's a routine contract renewal for livestock valuation—a process in place since the 2001 FMD crisis. I agree this wasnt explained in detail in the segment although as I've said, renewal was mentioned. The renewal actually emphasises that government has long prepared for animal culls imho
The critcism of the segment misses the deeper truth: the notice reflects a system built on overreach, where laws like the Animal Health Act 1981 allow culls on mere suspicion, not proof. The 2001 FMD crisis saw 6 million animals slaughtered, many healthy, based on proximity alone; recent avian flu culls killed 5 million birds, often preemptively, after PCR tests flagged asymptomatic cases - asymptomatic simply is not a thing and PCR is not diagnostic
UK poultry registration rules now mandate registration for anyone having at least one bird, and ongoing pandemic preparedness drills further enable surveillance and swift action, justified by “biosecurity”, but reeking of control and overreach
This isn’t about a new policy—it’s about seeing the same patterns, where suspicion is wielded as a weapon, and the law a shield for the control grid to dominate, in this case, agriculture, and then eventually ruin it, severely threatening food security
So I feel people are not seeing the patterns this segment was trying to show. Yes, the notice is a renewal, not a policy shift, but this just strengthens the broader arguments about the system imho—legal overreach, suspicion-driven culls, elite control—grounding concerns raised in the segment in actual reality on the ground
I'm not sticking up for UK Column here: they are quite capable of doing that for themselves. I was just quite shocked that people are not seeing the overall themes and patterns that I think the segment was alluding to. That actually scares me, as it means that people are not seeing the bigger picture
IMHO the APHA notice reflects ongoing preparation for centralised control over agriculture, a sector elites have long coveted. Historically, attacking the food supply is a totalitarian wet dream, from Stalin’s collectivisation to modern land grabs. DEFRA officials are insulated by law and face no personal risk, while farmers lose livelihoods. PCR testing has become a tool of control, amplifying threats to justify action
This isn’t about disease control imho; it’s about control, period—a totalitarian move dressed as biosecurity
What are your thoughts?

Adolescence = a passable drama - some ok acting
NOT a real life documentary about disenfranchised young men whose problems exist largely as a result of the very system now virtue signalling over the show -the system that tells young white males that they are worthless, can be a girl at will, and that being a white British youngster with XY chromosomes is the pits of the earth!
Those jumping on the virtue signal train should get a life. Its a made up story ffs. People should also check out the charity Tender, and its connection to the show. Mmmm very interesting
The Adolescence hype versus Convid propaganda - no bloody difference between them. It is nudging, social engineering, propaganda - forcing people to think in the "right way" about the issues in the MADE UP show 🙈
What next? Can't enter a restaurant without proving you've watched Adolescence? Track &Trace rolled out to see who's viewed the show? Starmer has become obsessed with this fictitious drama, even calling it a documentary. God help us
All that's left is to roll out a programme of enforced watching and then subject anyone who talks through it to a lengthy prison sentence for the non crime legal but harmful action of talking through the episodes! 🤣
The world is mad. Crazy.

"Big US technology companies have been offered a significant tax cut by Keir Starmer in return for lower tariffs from Donald Trump’s administration"
Spoiler alert. They already avoid masses of tax. Now they get to pay less ffs
Big corp benefits. Little people suffer with punitive tax rises
Whoever would have thought big tech would benefit in a world where its set to take over *sarcasm* 🤡🌏
Bloody sick of it

I'm sharing this to ask if anyone saw this, purely from the debt sales issue angle, and not the row about stealing format
I'm asking because I've got alot to say about the selling of debts (as usual 😂😂) and two words spring to mind: Assignment and Novation
Substack article coming soon on both asking: How many people are being screwed over because they don't know their rights about assignment? I bet not one person has ever asked to see the assignment if their debt has been sold on
My opinion: shifting to a model like novation that involves debtor consent, would protect individuals from the predatory practices enabled by the current assignment process. Assignment is allowed because it favours large, uncaring corporations over the people it affects. A product of the system and the time
