No, access to Diego Garcia is severely restricted. Entry is only permitted for active duty military personnel, unaccompanied personnel, and authorized Department of Defense civilians. Family members, including spouses and dependents, are generally not allowed. Official visitors and mission-essential personnel may also be authorized, requiring prior approval and area clearance from the Commanding Officer of Navy Support Facility, Diego Garcia.
