After the fires that burned around occupied al-Quds across the past 2 days, below is a thread from last year on what the occupiers brought to the land that is rejecting them today, and every day.
This thread was written after Hezbollah set "Kiryat Shmona" (occupied al-Khalisa) on fire in May of 2024:
During the British Mandate of Palestine and while settlers arrived to the land, they planted invasive conifers, non-native to the Levant, but to Europe. The land that was planted with native oaks and olive trees by the Palestinians for centuries, was now being planted with invasive species that poison the soil as it increases its acidity. This was done by the settlers to create a "fence" around their emerging settlements. The arriving settlers were also planting invasive conifers to create a canopy that would cover the ruins of the Palestinian villages they had depopulated and destroyed. This was protected and encouraged by the British authorities before the Nakba in 1948, and later by the occupation.
This form of ecological genocide against native species was also used as a pretext by the settlers, and later the occupation authorities, to expell Palestinians from their homes which were now in the "natural reserves" the Zionists had planted near and around Palestinian villages.
The invasive trees brought in by the occupiers burn more readily than the native trees of Palestine, as they are not adapted to the climate of the region, as opposed to other native conifers to the Levant, such as the Aleppo pine.
As settlers flooded in from Europe, these groves and forests were meant to erase the Palestinian identity of the land and give it a European aura that would give the settlers a feeling of familiarity in the land they occupied. The Palestinians resisted by burning these trees.
Planting these forests also had grave repercussions on Palestinian farmers as these trees created a canopy that prevented sunlight from reaching shorter bushes and crops. Grass, which Palestinian shepherds depend on to feed their cattle, became scarce.
The occupation often brags about "turning the desert green" in an attempt to portray themselves as caretakers of the land they stole. However, even turning deserts green, which involves planting non-native species in desert climates, does not respect the nature of desert ecosystems and threatens several native plant and animal species that thrive in this ecosystem.
Planting these non-native species that burn very easily poses a threat to the native forests of Palestine. "israel" has no respect for the nature of this land, and threatens life in all its forms in the land they claim they are indigenous to.

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Hezbollah issued the following statement:
Hezbollah condemns the escalating barbaric American-"israeli" aggression against Syria, Yemen, Gaza, and Lebanon, which constitutes an extension of the open war waged by the American-Zionist axis of evil against the peoples of the region, destabilizing and undermining the security of their countries, violating their sovereignty, and depleting their capabilities and strengths, in order to subject them to the requirements of its hegemony and the interests of the Zionist entity, so that it has the upper hand in the region.
In light of this dangerous escalation, Hezbollah emphasizes the following:
• Targeting Syria through repeated raids and ongoing incursions into its territory falls within the framework of weakening the Syrian state and preventing it from recovering, and represents a blatant violation of its sovereignty.
• The heroic Resistance of the honorable people of Syria in the face of the Zionist incursion, which led to the fall of martyrs and wounded, is evidence that the choice of the Syrian people was and still is the choice of confrontation and Resistance against the occupier, and that the spirit of Resistance is rooted in the conscience of the Syrians.
• The continuation of the barbaric American aggression against Yemen, and committing massacres against its people, is a desperate attempt to dissuade the steadfast, proud Yemeni people from continuing to support Gaza and the Resistance in Palestine, and to push them to halt their heroic operations.
• Just as in Syria and Yemen, the escalating brutal "israeli" aggression against Palestine and Gaza, along with the ongoing genocide and displacement projects witnessed by a complacent international community, reveal the enemy's inability to break the will of Resistance and the spirit of steadfastness and defiance of the Palestinian people.
• In this context as well, the ongoing "israeli" assaults on Lebanon and the continuous American pressures—both through covering up these crimes and through envoys carrying "israeli" demands to impose on us—are part of the same aggressive strategy.
• This dangerous escalation places all the countries of the region and their peoples before historic responsibilities, compelling them to unite in confronting these perilous schemes that threaten everyone.
• The equation today is clear: either confrontation or surrender to the enemy's schemes, which seek nothing but to subjugate the region, bring it to its knees, and dominate its people and resources.
We, in Hezbollah, condemn these crimes and affirm our full solidarity with our sisterly Syria, beloved Yemen, and resilient Palestine, as well as their peoples. We call on all free people around the world to raise their voices against this unjust aggression and to pressure the international community to put an end to these repeated attacks, in light of this happening amid blatant American complicity that threatens regional peace and stability, opening the door to further escalation and aggressive wars in the region, all while the international community remains suspiciously silent.

Sheikh Naim Kassem will deliver a speech on Friday 28/3/2025 during the ceremony held by Hezbollah celebrating Al-Quds Day, the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan. The ceremony will start at 3:30 pm Beirut time.

What is equally as terrifying as the atrocities taking place in Syria right now is the fact that people are finding *anything* to justify their occurrence. These people will also find excuses for "israeli" crimes one day when they disagree with the Palestinians.
07.03.202513:00
This will be Sheikh Naim Kassem's first interview as SG of Hezbollah.
The interview will cover:
• his remarks on the Lebanese support front and the battle of "Uli al-Ba'as" that followed
• his recollections of martyrs Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah and Sayyed Hachem Safieddine
• the most prominent challenges and risks the Resistance faced, and how the Resistance succeeded in preventing the enemy from progressing in the border villages
• on the heroism of the Mujahideen and their unwavering belief in the certainty of victory
• what about the next stage?
• his comments on the domestic scale and on the slogan of "cooperation" he raised
• the upcoming municipal and parliamentary elections in Lebanon; what about [Hezbollah's] alliances?
• "a promise and commitment" the slogan he raised; what has been achieved? And what is to come?
• Does he believe anyone is trying to hinder the reconstruction?
• his views on the state's responsibility towards all citizens and its duty in defending its sovereignty
• his comments on Trump's plan to displace the Palestinian people and the responsibilities of the Ummah

I sometimes ask myself, "Is it possible that Sayyed is a martyr?" But before I can even finish the thought, my soul responds, "Can Sayyed be anything but a martyr?"
My limited mind and vision, clouded by the veil of sin, have always prevented me from fully grasping the true secret of martyrs: How can death bring about life? Especially with those martyrs whom we only come to truly know after they are martyred.
With Sayyed—the martyred Sayyed—the issue is not about denying the truth, nor is it grief preventing me from accepting it. Rather, it is that his presence is so powerful, no absence could ever erase it. And certainly not when that "absence" is an unparalleled martyrdom.
Perhaps this is why I keep asking myself whether he was truly martyred: because of the strength of this presence that refuses to succumb to all attempts of erasure.
Sayyed taught me soooo much during his life, and so, so, so much through his martyrdom.
He, along with his dear martyred companions, taught me the meaning of "alive with their Lord" and how one can attain immortality, not in the worldly sense, but in the truest, highest sense. - just one of the many lessons from the school of Sayyed’s martyrdom.
May Allah grant us the ability to carry these lessons faithfully and embody them.

Al-Manar Correspondent:
In an attempt to restore the Zionist community's trust and provide them with a sense of security along the border with Lebanon—encouraging settlers to fully return to the occupied northern Palestinian territories—the Israeli occupation army has brought groups of Zionist religious individuals to the Al-Abbad site near the border town of Houla. They claim the site contains the grave of "Rabbi Ashi," which lies along the Blue Line.
The occupation army had previously erected a fence around the grave, leaving half of it inside Lebanese territory. When the concrete wall was later built at the site, the entire grave ended up outside the wall, prompting the anger of the Zionist army's chief rabbi, Eyal Karim, who personally visited the location at the time.
Today, visitors exited through the wall's gate to visit half of the grave while remaining inside the fenced-off area along the Blue Line, which was demarcated in a documented event by the late Brigadier General Amin Hoteit.

The one standard we expected our fellow Arabs to follow when "israel" aggressed us and killed our Sayyed was for them not to rejoice with "israel." This standard applies to us too; we will not rejoice over the "israeli" invasion of Syria, regardless of who rules this sister nation.

Grief and gratitude. Heartbreak and strength. Longing and joy and pride. All of these feelings came rushing at once as you joined us for the last goodbye. How is it possible to be so deeply and genuinely broken for the loss of your dearest, but to also be so stubborn and unwavering in your rage and commitment to fight the one who stole your beloved from you? To achingly long for the one who put your heart at ease, but to be so deeply joyful and grateful for the wish fulfilled? To be so deeply wounded, but also filled with so much pride? How, Sayyed? What have you done to our hearts?
I always knew that God loved you, Sayyed. It was a firm belief. I was assured of it when God chose you for this martyrdom, a martyrdom so special that you have defined it just as it has defined you. I was reassured once more when my heart beat for you along with my fellow lovers of yours. A million grieving hearts beating with love, all for you. Is this not proof of His love? God loves you, Sayyed, and He planted this love in our hearts.
We will long for you for what remains of our days. We will run to you. We will follow your path and run to you to cure this longing.
The wound of our souls is not one that will heal with time. We won't allow it to heal, Sayyed. This wound will keep us steadfast, for it is not a wound that weakens or breaks; this wound will feed us with rage. It will not die out, Sayyed, this fire in our hearts. We will run to you just as we ran to your coffin, for this parting cannot be long.

Earlier on X, I had written a comment that I deleted soon after posting. It was made on the footage that was recently released, showing how the terrorist Zionist army had perpetually attacked paramedics in Gaza. The comment was that not enough can be done to serve justice before what "israel" and the United States have done in Gaza. After reflecting, I deleted it, because even if that is true, that if even the annihilation of the cancerous entity is not enough, it does not mean that nothing should be done. There are so many reasons why continuing to resist in the face of all this darkness and oppression is a necessity, and most importantly, Resistance is the faith in the prevailing of God's inevitable Justice put to practice. We cannot sit by like the rest of this incompetent, complicit world and only pray for this Justice without doing anything to make it happen; we cannot expect this outcome without being a reason for it to come to be.
Another reason I disagreed with that statement, which I admit was more of an emotional response (that we should make less of), is because I cannot claim it is true. Why? Because we believe that God is capable of healing the hearts of the believers in ways we cannot fathom. Making a statement of that sort can plant despair in our hearts. And even after everything that happened and is happening, we cannot allow despair into our hearts, for only then will we be truly defeated. As long as we resist, we are not defeated. This is what it means when we say that the Resistance is victorious through its continuity, especially when the enemy's goal is to break this Resistance, whether as a military power or the Resistance in the people's hearts.
Today, after everything we have witnessed, the darkness we seem to be drowning in, our beloved leaders that we have lost, the horrors we are watching...and with the lessons we should learn, we should still not lose our faith, for the goals have not changed, and with them, the duty to fight oppression does not waive, in any and every means possible.
This war has put into perspective the extent of the enemy's capabilities, and while that should teach us to continue to improve ours, it should not take away from the role of our ideology, meaning, while working on improving our material capabilities, our ideology remains a priority too.
The enemy is driven by greed and fear of the unknown, which is the reason behind the insanity in their actions, while we are driven by our faith in God; in the firm belief that God's Justice always prevails against oppression, which is the reason behind our steadfastness.
It can be really easy to let this darkness take over our hearts. Clearly, I had almost let it too, were it not for God's Kindness that allowed me to think again. But to continue this fight, and to be deserving to even pray for Allah's Justice, work for it, and call upon the Imam of our time (ajtf) that please, return soon, then our hearts must remain tender sources of light, and for them to be sources of light, darkness cannot find a home for itself in them. Allowing the darkness in is what will create despair and turn our hearts to stone.
May we never succumb to the enemy's darkness, may the light of God's Justice fill the world soon, and may He bless us to be contributors to the coming victory.

On the first night of the holy month of Ramadan, our most beloved Sayyed would speak to us through the screen on this occasion. He would read the holy prophet (pbuh)'s speech on the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan, and he would recommend a religious program to follow. This is the first Ramadan without him and without this speech and the ones that follow. Inshallah Sheikh Naim Kassem will be giving religious lectures every Monday evening this year as SG of Hezbollah.
Don't forget the Imam (ajtf) from your prayers, the martyrs, especially our most beloved Sayyed, the Mujahideen, and all the oppressed people of the world.
And please forgive any harm from my end that I could have inflicted, whether through online interaction or if we know each other personally🙏🏻
Attached is the summary of the program. May it be a blessed month. Ramadan Mubarak 🌙
