This will be controversial, but I don’t believe that growing your own food is out of reach for the majority of people in America.
People assume that we were given land, that we’re extra special, or just plain lucky. It simply isn’t true.
I can’t tell you how much sweat and tears have gone into this lifestyle that we’re living now. We knew we wanted it, and we were willing to sacrifice to get it. Would we do some things differently if we had it to do over again? Yes, but the general idea would be the same…make the sacrifices now that will get us where we want to be in the future.
