A US retiree had 3,520 bitcoins worth $330 million stolen from him - one of the largest crypto scams in history. Fraudsters laundered the funds through 300 wallets and 20 exchanges, most of them converted into XMR, which is untraceable. Against this backdrop, the coin's exchange rate rose by 50%. Experts believe the return of the funds is unlikely.
