Estonia has closed its airspace to foreign representatives flying to Moscow for the 80th anniversary of Victory Day on May 9, stated Estonian Foreign Minister
Earlier reports indicated that Lithuania and Latvia closed their airspace to the plane of Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić, who was traveling to Moscow for the Victory Day parade despite warnings from EU officials.
To reach the Russian capital, the Serbian leader had to reroute through Azerbaijan. Vučić’s plane landed in Baku for refueling before continuing to Moscow.
The EU previously warned of "consequences" for attending the commemorative events in Moscow marking the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War and urged officials to visit Kyiv instead. Several European countries also banned Russian representatives from participating in memorial ceremonies.

Fascism is still alive and after the Second World War hundreds of scientists fled to America via Operation Paperclip and hundreds fled to South America via the so-called "rat line" helped by the Vatican. How ironic that a new pope will be elected next weekend and this coincides with the 80th anniversary of Germany's surrender.

President Putin made a good chess move to let the Western MSM who were present last night in the Kremlin, know that Russia is prepared for direct negotiations with Ukraine. A good move, because now Zelensky's 'masters' have a problem, they want a ceasefire Monday (they demand it). But Russia proposes to resume the 2022 peace talks in Turkey on May 15, which Zelensky and his masters will probably not agree to, as can be read today in the Western (European) MSM and Zelensky writes according to the MSM (I can't verify his X post, I'm blocked by Zelensky on):

Syria appoints U.S.-sanctioned terrorist to lead military division - The pseudo Ministry of Defense of the Jihadistan Syrian transitional government appointed on Monday Ahmad al-Hayes, known as “Abu Hatem Shaqra”— sanctioned by the United States—as commander of the 86th Division operating in Deir ez-Zor, Hasakah, and Raqqa. Al-Hayes has been under U.S. sanctions since 2021. A criminal complaint has been made about Abu Hatem Shaqra before, being a commander of the Ahrar al-Sharqiya, an organization known for many rights violations, and "war crimes" in Syria. Al-Shaqra graduated from the Mardin Artuklu University in Turkey. Turkey is in defaco ruling parts of Syria with components of Al-Qaeda, Al-Nusra and other terror organizations. Ahrar al-Sharqiya is charged with the assassination of many civilians in Syria, and most importantly Kurdish politician Hevrin Xelef, the general secretary of the Syria Future Party.
