If you haven't noticed the pattern yet, it's fine for US politicians to offer rhetorical opposition to the permanent state's policies (with obligatory state dept bullshit mixed in about Assad and Uighurs or whatever)... until they're in a position to do anything about it. Then they're going along with whatever wars the permanent state wants, voting for fascist government interference on strikes, the iron dome, etc etc etc. The same pattern with both sides of the uniparty. Tulsi, Bernie, AOC, MTG. Once you recognize the pattern it won't come as a surprise. There are many reasons for it (for instance discrediting something as "right wing" with a MTG endorsement or "woke" with AOC) but I would say the primary purpose is to keep you believing the lie that any of these people represent you.
