There comes a time when you realize that you are walking in circles.

The same situations, the same meetings. Meaningless conversations, pretense, forced smiles, and the routine question, "How are you? How’s life?"

And then you understand that all this time, you’ve been walking around the mountain, but now you are ready to climb to the Summit.

When you finally decide to ascend, you take your first steps upward, but you feel a weight that holds you back. Taking a break, you open your backpack and see unnecessary junk, a burden. You take it out and realize it’s Doubt—so you throw it down.

You continue; it seems easier. But with every meter upward, you feel the weight again. You open your backpack and find Anger, Resentment, Fears, and Bad Habits. Throwing them away, you feel lighter.

But as you move forward, you realize that you are alone. Down below, you weren’t. There was noise, fun, friends, and many others like you. Yet suddenly, you understand that all that fun was an illusion, a mask with a fake smile hiding a sad face. You make a firm decision—there is no road back, only forward and upward.

Looking back, you no longer see just the horizon but new, beautiful landscapes that you never noticed before and could not have imagined existed. And then, after some time, you meet someone walking just a little higher but in the same direction. They greet you with a smile and extend a helping hand.

But you notice you cannot reach out. You open your backpack and take out Pride—you throw it down, and it shatters against the rocks.

You extend your hand—you are no longer alone. And this new companion tells you what else to discard and what valuable and necessary tools to acquire for the journey ahead.
