The Communist Party of India (Marxist) has backed India’s military strikes on Pakistan and Pakistan-administered Kashmir that killed civilians, including a child. Calling the assault “measured” and “non-escalatory,” the party aligns itself with the interests of India’s ruling far-right BJP—supporting a dangerous military escalation between nuclear-armed states.

CPI (Marxist) has long been criticized by CPI (Maoist)—an armed revolutionary communist movement—for abandoning class struggle in favor of electoral politics and state alignment. The CPI (Marxist) endorses the government’s claim that Pakistan was behind the Pahalgam attack, which killed 26 civilians, despite no public evidence being presented.

“My daughter died because of the siege.” – People in Gaza continue to starve to death as the Israeli blockade on humanitarian aid remains uninterrupted for over two months.

According to the latest statement released by Gaza’s Media Office, at least 57 Palestinians — mostly children — have died due to malnutrition. The statement also condemned the “continued use of food by the Israeli occupation as a weapon of war,” and urged the international community to intervene.

This is the longest continuous total siege Israel has imposed since its genocidal war on Gaza began. According to UNRWA, more than 66,000 children in the Gaza Strip are suffering from severe malnutrition “due to the starvation policy that Israel continues to implement.”

Israel is blocking the entry of humanitarian aid into the Strip, including food, water, medicine, and other essential supplies. Despite international condemnation, no country has chosen to airdrop humanitarian aid into the Strip, as happened during the first blockade in 2024.

Police charged crowds across Paris this May Day, using tear gas, mass arrests, and batons to break up the march. Protesters also confronted the Socialist Party, tearing down its stand and denouncing its role in labor repression.

Joining the traditional workers’ mobilization was a growing protest against state Islamophobia. Just days earlier, Aboubakar Cissé, a 22-year-old Malian man, was stabbed to death while praying in a mosque. His killer filmed the attack, shouting anti-Muslim slurs—yet the state prosecutor refused to clearly label the murder as Islamophobic, suggesting other possible motives despite the evidence.

“Destroy Tel Aviv airport!” — A firefighter reacts to Israel’s massive bombing of Sana’a civilian airport in Yemen, calling on the Yemeni resistance to respond to the attack.

The head of Yemen’s Supreme Political Council, Mahdi al-Mashat, promised that Yemen’s response to the US-Israeli attack would be “devastating and painful, beyond what the Israeli and American enemies can endure.”

He also addressed the Israeli public, saying: “From now on, stay in your shelters or leave for your countries immediately. Your failed government will no longer be able to protect you.”

🟡 BREAKING: Footage allegedly shows Indian airstrikes inside Pakistan. Just minutes ago, India’s armed forces launched “Operation Sindoor” targeting sites in Pakistan. A Pakistani military spokesperson says India struck three locations.

The strikes follow rising tensions after last month’s attack in Kashmir, where suspected militants opened fire at a popular tourist spot, killing 26 Indian nationals and injuring 10.

Anti-communist erasure of history is working at full speed in Eastern Europe. A few days before the 80th anniversary of the Red Army’s victory over the Wehrmacht in Berlin, we look back at the escalation of destruction of Soviet monuments under “de-communization” laws.

Around 4,000 such monuments were erected in European countries after World War II to commemorate the sacrifice of the Red Army soldiers — while 3,000 have been pulled down to date — according to the Russia-based “Never Forget” project.

The Democratic Republic of Congo — the richest yet most exploited country on Earth — is inching toward a peace deal between its military and the Rwanda-backed M23 rebels. But many in Congo view the US-supported negotiations with deep skepticism, having seen similar efforts collapse time and again.

How did it come to this — a country overflowing with natural resources, trapped in endless conflict? In an interview with red. media, a Congolese activist, speaking under conditions of anonymity for security reasons, explains how foreign powers continue to drive violence and exploitation in the region.

Today marks 71 years since Vietnam’s historic victory over French colonial forces at the Battle of Dien Bien Phu. The battle is considered one of the greatest of the 20th century, precipitating the end of French colonial rule in Southeast Asia.

At the time, the Vietnamese liberation forces, led by communist revolutionary Ho Chi Minh, spearheaded the Anti-French Resistance War, opposing French colonial rule following attempts to reinstate it after World War II. After a 56-day-long bloody battle and a final assault on May 7, the French-held garrison at Dien Bien Phu fell to Viet Minh forces led by Vo Nguyen Giap.

General Giap was the mastermind behind the Viet Minh’s victory at Dien Bien Phu. His strategic acumen, organizational skills, and innovative tactics played a critical role not only in this battle but also in shaping future tactics used by the North Vietnamese Army during the Vietnam War.

“We know Israel is an occupier, and we know it’s trading with our blood.” Druze Syrian women held a protest in Suwayda, Syria, to denounce the ongoing sectarian violence targeting the Druze community.

Recently, HTS-affiliated armed groups have attacked Druze communities in several locations across Syria. Videos have surfaced online documenting the humiliations and torture they have endured.

Despite an agreement between state officials and Druze leaders, the sectarian violence continues. In Suwayda, according to interviews with local communities, they are organizing themselves to protect the city and prevent “experiencing the same massacres as in the Syrian Coast.”

Israel is exploiting sectarian violence to divide Syria. On Saturday, the Israeli army announced the distribution of “humanitarian aid” to people in Suwayda. There are also reports of wounded Syrians being transported to hospitals, possibly in Israeli-occupied territories — a tactic reminiscent of those used during the Syrian war.

Far-right Israeli minister Ben Gvir was confronted by pro-Palestinian demonstrators at Yale University. He was invited to address a meeting at the university a day after being honored at a dinner at Trump’s resort in Florida.

Ben Gvir stated that he met with senior Republican Party officials who supported his idea of bombing food and aid depots to create pressure on Gaza. He is known for advocating the death penalty for Palestinian prisoners, as well as supporting ethnic supremacy and the displacement of Palestinians.

Friedrich Merz, former BlackRock executive, is now Germany’s chancellor. The conservative CDU leader was officially elected head of government, marking a sharp shift to the right in German politics.

Merz pushes tax cuts for the ultra-wealthy and longer workweeks. The CDU ideolog follows a corporate-first neoliberal agenda. Germany’s left often calls him the “chancellor of the rich.” Merz wants Germany to lead a new European military bloc as US-EU tensions rise. He approved hundreds of millions in military spending and flirted with ideas of a post-NATO future with a German-led EU army.

His campaign marked a race to the bottom, mirroring the far-right talking points of the AfD. Merz blamed migrants for nearly every problem in the country. The CDU-led coalition now plans harsh anti-migration crackdowns, criminalization of migrants, and mass deportations. Merz broke an unofficial parliamentary taboo in January by cooperating with the AfD, normalizing far-right influence in national politics.

Clashes erupted outside Indonesia’s parliament on May Day. Workers, feminist groups, and student organizations gathered for a mass rally, defying relocation orders and a heavy police presence.

Banners declaring “May Day is not a holiday. This is the day to fight back” were seen outside the gates of the legislature. Protesters condemned state repression and neoliberal labor policies.

Student groups accused the Prabowo-Gibran government of serving foreign—especially US—interests, rather than protecting workers and the poor.

An Israeli airstrike threw a child into the air, hurling them onto another building in Gaza. Israeli forces hit a residential apartment in Gaza City, killing at least seven people. Body parts, including those of children, are scattered across streets and rooftops.

Experts say Israel is using high-powered bombs to maximize civilian casualties and destruction. The Israeli army also launched a large-scale operation in northern Gaza.

Footage shows residential areas under heavy bombardment. The death toll is rising by the minute.
