🇬🇧AFTER HAVING FAILED TO CAPTURE A UOC SHRINE, OCU BANDITS DELIBERATELY DESECRATED IT
🇺🇦НЕ ЗМОГЛИ ЗАХОПИТИ - ТОДІ НАВМИСНО ОСКВЕРНИЛИ
Priest of the OCU Roman Hryshchuk and bandits completely destroyed the altar of of the St. Nicholas Church UOC in the village of Verkhni Stanivtsi.
Last night, there was an assault to take away the UOC shrine in Verkhni Stanivtsi village.
The armed bandits aimed to capture the temple, but hundreds of parishioners who came to protect the shrine - drove them out of the Orthodox church with shame.
Having not achieved their goal, the bandits led by the OCU "priest" destroyed the altar, the sacristy, and the decoration of the Orthodox church.

US and EP supported OCU vandalizing Orthodox Churches.

The mass killing of any people is evil. As Orthodox we are called by the Lord to "love our enemies." The very glaring thing to me is that the 20th century was a century of unheard of blood letting. Yet, in the modern historical narrative almost exclusive emphasis is placed on the bloody event known as the holocaust. An almost, it seems to me, willful silence prevails when it comes to the genocide of Christians. Human suffering can never be underplayed, yet more Christians have been targeted and slaughtered over the past 125 years than any other people. I don't see the "enlightened" folks at the Wheel covering this. Genocide is evil in all its forms, but the genocide against Christians perpetrated mostly by Atheist-Secularist ideologies is the greatest genocide to date in humanity. Let's give at least equal coverage. But it is not fashionable to speak of Christian suffering because Christianity must be painted as "oppressive." And then Christians should loath themselves for being "oppressors." In reality, true Christianity is the most persecuted people in the world.
02.04.202516:32
Maybe we should remember that over 100 million people who were murdered under Communism, most of them Christians. Christian people remain the most persecuted in the world. In Israel, religious Jews show open hostility and hatred for Christians. Christian churches have been targeted and even destroyed. Truly, may the Lord save them. May we pray for their salvation, but the reality is that modern Judaism is totally Anti-Christian in its ideology, Lord have mercy.

The parish of the UOC Assumption Church in Dubivtsi was one of those who turned to the US authorities and asked for help in protecting their rights.
Initially, the shrine was illegally re-registered by raiders from the OCU. Now militants in balaclavas have come to the House of God to take it away from Orthodox Christians.
The barbarity that we are now watching in Dubivtsi is a kind of response from the OCU and the Ukrainian authorities to the US administration and Vice President Vance personally.
This is what this “beacon of religious freedom” looks like — militants in masks and raiders with grinders.
The shrill cry “remember, foreigner, the master here is Ukrainian” from the young militants would have been very useful for the delegation of the Romanian authorities, which was in Bukovina at the beginning of the month.
At that time, the Soviet head of the DESS Yelenskyy assured that the churches in Bukovina are not being taken away, and the Romanian diaspora is being respected.

Another interesting source on the reported claim that the church of Greece is considering starting a "digital bank." https://www.dnews.gr/eidhseis/news-in-english/519249/the-church-of-greece-s-ambitious-fintech-bank-plan-raises-eyebrows

The Church of Greece is reportedly planning on opening a "digital bank." That doesn't sit too well in my ears. What are your thoughts on this, dear readers? Edited addition to original post - As one comment notes, the end of this article does state that the synod has "dismissed" the claim of a digital bank, although a number of other articles that I read did not make this statement. For another interesting source see the post below this one too. https://www.keeptalkinggreece.com/2025/04/01/church-greece-digital-bank/

U.S. presidents come and go – but the propaganda war against the UOC lives on.
Over the years of war, we’ve grown used to Ukrainian authorities – along with members of the AUCCRO – shamelessly feeding the West falsehoods about the real state of religious freedom in Ukraine. Their favorite narrative? That violations of religious rights only happen in the Russian-occupied territories, while in “free Ukraine” everyone enjoys peace and liberty. And any testimony about persecution of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church? Labeled as “Kremlin propaganda.”
Under President Biden, this narrative was swallowed whole. But with Trump back on the scene, many expected a change in tone. And yet, here we are – watching the exact same charade play out.
At the invitation of Chief Rabbi Moshe Azman, evangelical pastor Mark Burns – often referred to as Trump’s “spiritual advisor” – arrived in Ukraine. And who does Rabbi Azman arrange for him to meet? The very same “religious figures” that the Ukrainian government sent to the U.S. in 2024 to peddle tales of unparalleled religious freedom and justify the banning of the UOC.
From the looks of it, Burns was served the same scripted fairy tales in Kyiv, as he triumphantly declared Ukraine a “beacon of religious freedom” after the meeting. This, while the government and the OCU continue their campaign of pressure and seizure against UOC believers – while the Lavra remains blocked off, thousands of churches have been taken over, and bishops, journalists, and parishioners face criminal prosecution.
When asked in the comments on his Facebook page whether he had met with representatives of the UOC, Burns responded by quoting a certain “Bishop Andriy,” who allegedly said that “it’s the ROC and Russians in the occupied territories” committing these crimes.
This is a clear piece of the false propaganda narrative pushed by the authorities and the AUCCRO: that the UOC supposedly shares the Kremlin’s views and therefore must be eliminated.
Notably, the meeting was coordinated not only by Rabbi Azman, but also by Oleg Havrysh – the chief adviser to the Head of the President’s Office.
Presidents in Washington may change. But the anti-UOC propaganda machine marches on.

The famous Greek theologian Fr. Anastasios Gotsopoulos made an open appeal to the Primates of the Orthodox Churches and called for help to stop the desecration of the relics in the Kyiv-Pechersk saints.
The priest's appeal was published by the Greek branch of the UOJ.
In his message, Fr. Anastasios called on the hierarchs to "raise the voice of denunciation and protest in order to stop the desecration of the saints of the Orthodox Church."
He recalled that on March 28, a commission appointed by the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine, accompanied by security forces, opened the locks in the Near and Far Caves of the Lavra to “research” the relics.
- Gotsopoulos notes, indicating that the commission includes anatomists, biologists, and even a veterinarian, but there is no Church representative.
The Greek priest addressed a special appeal to the Constantinople Patriarch Bartholomew, who, according to him, “maintains good personal relations with Zelensky,” as well as to the Primates of those Churches that have recognized the OCU.
- emphasized Fr. Anastasius.
He recalled that “to the greatest regret, some of you have remained silent about the persecution and persecution of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church under the omophorion of His Beatitude Onuphry.”
the theologian stated.

He recalled that on March 28, a commission appointed by the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine, accompanied by security forces, opened the locks in the Near and Far Caves of the Lavra to “research” the relics.
“The composition of the commission members clearly demonstrates the regime’s disrespect for the shrines,”
“Your All-Holiness, Ecumenical Patriarch, Your Beatitudes, Primates of Local Orthodox Patriarchates and Autocephalous Churches, and especially you, Your All-Holiness, Ecumenical Patriarch, you maintain good personal relations with Zelensky. Convey to him that the principle “it is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God” (Heb. 10:31) also applies to his country…
We address your Hierarchy with a fervent appeal, we ask and we beg: Raise your voice of denunciation and protest to stop the desecration of the Orthodox Church saints. The saints of the Kyiv Pechersk Lavra are also our saints, they are the saints of the Ecumenical Orthodox Church. Let us not forget that the founder of the Lavra is the Venerable Anthony of Athos!”,
- emphasized Fr. Anastasius.
He recalled that “to the greatest regret, some of you have remained silent about the persecution and persecution of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church under the omophorion of His Beatitude Onuphry.”
“This silence of the entire Orthodox world has only emboldened the Kyiv barbarians, and now they are proceeding to desecrate even the triumphant “Church of the firstborn, written in heaven” of the saints (Heb. 13:23).
Do not allow this. Do not allow this. Do not remain silent any longer, because in this case the Roman principle “qui tacet consentire videtur” (silence means agreement) applies. If you remain silent, “the stones will cry out,” and there is a danger that they will fall on the heads of all of us…”,
the theologian stated.
