Why would they fake it?
After going through so much controversy over the last few months regarding the goal of TFE, the involvement of Jeran and Witsit, and the inconsistencies found in TFE’s alleged 24-hour sun footage in Antarctica, one thing seems certain: they faked TFE!
Did they visit Punta Arenas, Chile? -"Yes", and then Union Glacier Camp in Antarctica? - " Not Sure". Why did TFE team take more than 4 days to reach the Union Glacier camp after arriving at Punta Arenas on December 11, 2024? Yet the debate is not about whether the TFE team went to Antarctica or whether they managed to get there...
But did they film the 24 hour sun in Antarctica? - "No". Most likely they've filmed it in a movie studio elsewhere. According to me there are mainly three reasons for this.
1. The 24 hour (midnight) sun doesn't exist in Antarctica as they say and so they had to fake/film it in a movie studio.
2. Even if they had planned to film the actual sun at the Union Glacier camp (so that the footage could later be edited to make it appear as if it was available for 24 hours), it would still have been difficult to predict clear weather during their stay, and if it had been cloudy the entire TFE would have failed. So they must have decided to film it in a movie studio.
3. To date there is no Starlink internet connectivity at Union Glacier Camp, despite mainstream reports claiming Starlink availability in Antarctica from February 2024. Therefore the TFE team couldn’t pretend to livestream from Antarctica, so they livestreamed from a film set at another location where faster internet connectivity was available.
