Father God,
As we prepare for rest....
We thank You for this day.
Father, You are the same today as You were yesterday, and as You are tomorrow.
Since the beginning of mankind, You sought to have a relationship with Your creation, to instruct us in the way that we ought to go.
Father, today we pray for discernment.
We pray that the Holy Spirit that indwells within us with give us a peace beyond understanding to know precisely when something is You, and when something is not.
Father, we want to be obedient to Your call in our lives.
We pray for such discernment to not only make wise choices, but in the course of it all to know we can trust Your guiding hand.
In Jesus Name,
Amen.
Have a Blessed Night ! 😊

I must tell Jesus all of my trials;
I cannot bear these burdens alone;
In my distress He kindly will help me;
He ever loves and cares for His own.
I must tell Jesus! I must tell Jesus!
I cannot bear my burdens alone;
I must tell Jesus! I must tell Jesus!
Jesus can help me, Jesus alone.
I must tell Jesus all of my troubles;
He is a kind, compassionate Friend;
If I but ask Him, He will deliver,
And in my griefs with me He will blend.
Tempted and tried I need a great Savior,
One who can help my burdens to bear;
I must tell Jesus, I must tell Jesus;
He all my cares and sorrows will share,
O how the world to evil allures me!
O how my heart is tempted to sin!
I must tell Jesus; He will enable
Over the world the vic’try to win.
I cannot bear these burdens alone;
In my distress He kindly will help me;
He ever loves and cares for His own.
I must tell Jesus! I must tell Jesus!

James 2:14-17
What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him? If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food, and one of you says to them, “Depart in peace, be warmed and filled,” but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit? Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.

O Lord our God,
Keep us in peace during this night and at all times.
Keep our hearts and thoughts secure in holy reverence for you, so that we may be protected at all times from the snares of the enemy.
Let your Spirit speak to our mind and heart while we asleep, so that, when we wake up in the morning...
We may find that we have received light for our way...
strength for our tasks...
and peace for our worries...
In Jesus' name we pray....
Amen

Today’s devotional:
“Thus saith the Lord God; I will yet for this be enquired of by the house of Israel, to do it for them.”
Ezekiel 36:37
Prayer is the forerunner of mercy. Turn to sacred history, and you will find that scarcely ever did a great mercy come to this world unheralded by supplication. You have found this true in your own personal experience. God has given you many an unsolicited favour, but still great prayer has always been the prelude of great mercy with you. When you first found peace through the blood of the cross, you had been praying much, and earnestly interceding with God that he would remove your doubts, and deliver you from your distresses. Your assurance was the result of prayer. When at any time you have had high and rapturous joys, you have been obliged to look upon them as answers to your prayers. When you have had great deliverances out of sore troubles, and mighty helps in great dangers, you have been able to say, “I sought the Lord, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.” Prayer is always the preface to blessing. It goes before the blessing as the blessing's shadow. When the sunlight of God’s mercies rises upon our necessities, it casts the shadow of prayer far down upon the plain. Or, to use another illustration, when God piles up a hill of mercies, he himself shines behind them, and he casts on our spirits the shadow of prayer, so that we may rest certain, if we are much in prayer, our pleadings are the shadows of mercy. Prayer is thus connected with the blessing to show us the value of it. If we had the blessings without asking for them, we should think them common things; but prayer makes our mercies more precious than diamonds. The things we ask for are precious, but we do not realize their preciousness until we have sought for them earnestly.
“Prayer makes the darken'd cloud withdraw;
Prayer climbs the ladder Jacob saw;
Gives exercise to faith and love;
Brings every blessing from above.”

Filling Our Cups With Hope

When everything seems to indicate failure, when nothing makes sense anymore, and when our sufferings and sorrows appear to smother the promises of our Lord's help, the Bible declares: ...[God] hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. (Heb. 13:5)
Are you stumbling in some awful night?
The Old Testament prophet did and wrote, "...when I sit in darkness, the LORD shall be a light unto me" (Micah 7:8) Job said, "[He] giveth songs in the night" (Job. 35:10)
"Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labour of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls: Yet will I rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation" Hab. 3:17-18
When every visible , tangible cause for earthly happiness and joy vanished, the prophet found satisfaction in his Lord. ☕

Heavenly Father,
As I prepare to rest, I come before You with a humble heart, acknowledging my need for Your divine insight.
I thank You for the gift of physical sight, but I recognize that there’s a deeper vision I need – the ability to see with the eyes of faith.
I pray for discernment to recognize Your hand at work in my life.
Open my eyes to see the opportunities You place before me to serve You.
Father, I ask that You would guard my spiritual vision.
Protect me from the deception of the enemy and the allure of worldly wisdom.
Instead, fill me with Your Holy Spirit, grant me the wisdom and revelation that come only from You.
I thank You, Father, for hearing this prayer.
I trust that You are at work, even now In Jesus’ name, I pray.
Amen

Romans 10:9-10 ~ That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
John 1:12 ~ But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children.
1 Corinthians 15:3-4 ~ For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures.
A – ADMIT that you are a sinner – Romans 3:23
B – BELIEVE that Jesus died for your sins – 1 Corinthians 15:3-4
