My One day at Yale

I arrived at Yale 10AM in the morning coming straight from Boston. First, I toured the university alone for about an hour and thought. “Yale is pretty small and boring”. Because there wasn’t a lot of people on campus on a Sunday morning and it was pretty boring to tour alone.

Then I met up with Shahribonu a Senior at Yale from Samarkand. We talked for an hour about our lives. We both went to the same Middle School and high school and we both live in the same neighborhood in Brooklyn. So it was really nice to just catch up with her.

Then we met up with Murad and Gavhar and all of us just socialized and talked about Central Asian culture and etc… Murad then gave me shit calling my music taste old 😭. I said I like Uzb singers like Ozodbek Nazarbekov, Ulugbek, Alisher Fayz etc.

Then we got New Haven pizza which I rated 7.5/10, played Durak and ping pong towards the evening. Then I headed back to Hopkins!

Overall, I LOVED YALE. It was quiet, architecture was beautiful (better than Harvard). There weren’t a lot of tourists so the campus was mostly students which was amazing. Students seemed very nice and welcoming also. Yale is an amazing school. I will definitely apply and pray to god I get in!

If I ever have the privilege of choosing between Harvard or Yale for law school…

I will make another post comparing the two on which one I would choose for undergraduate vs law school!

I'm going to both Harvard and Yale this weekend.

I am kind of excited! I've never been to Yale so it would be pretty nice touring the campus. Harvard will be lit once again because Abdulaziz is there. I am excited! I know I keep saying I will do a vlog and keep bailing. But maybe this time I actually will!

I want to do a vlog on them comparing their dining hall, library and gym. And then say which one is better. I’m totally not biased. It’s not like my profile pic is at Harvard or anything
Yale was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!!!

Thanks to Sharibonu, Murad and Gavhar for being the best tour guides. I feel like I got sooooooo much from my 1 day experience at Yale.

I’ll definitely make a post about what I loved about Yale. Yale lives up to the hype.

(I took the picture. It’s not from Google)

My favorite dance performance

Abdulaziz made an announcement saying. “These are just guests and they just decided to do this dance today”

This looked sooo professional that I think they practiced this for hours at least
Who brought this Uzbek Gilam inside the widener library?
After an hour long flight! We made it

⭕️Today, April 12, is unfortunately one more bad day in IELTS Uzbekistan. The private centre that runs IELTS in our country again leaked the results. Now, the IELTS exam has not yet begun, but many candidates taking the exam today with a private centre (not the British Council) are entering the exam with ready answers for reading and listening. We have all proof and answers being leaked by whom. But further discussion with our global partners, this time we will not post results before the exam, not to affect the results of other candidates.
⭕️But we created a channel where we stored all answers with a clear timestamp (11:50). The results were leaked by very unprofessional staff of a so-called private centre.

+ Abdulaziz without him Harvard wouldn’t survive.

Full Ride to Wesleyan University

Ruhshona has been accepted into Wesleyan University with a full-ride scholarship, where she will majoring in Government and minor in Human Rights Advocacy. As senior at James Madison High School, she applied without submitting SAT scores. However, she has excelled in 7 AP courses throughout high school and is ranked in the top 10% of her class. It's also worth noting that she applied as an international student!

Ruhshona has been actively involved in various extracurriculars throughout high school. She played on the girls' soccer teams at both James Madison High School and John Dewey. Additionally, she participated in Mock Trial and We the People. In fact, she's currently in Washington, D.C., for the We the People Championship, where her team, having won statewide, is now representing New York in the national competition.

At first, Ruhshona struggled with impostor syndrome, doubting her ability to get into top universities because she didn’t feel “perfect.” But after countless sleepless nights and hundreds of essay revisions, she managed to secure full-ride offers from both Connecticut College and Wesleyan University. She worked one-on-one with us to improve her essays and refine her entire application.

Like many girls in Uzbekistan, Ruhshona initially thought she couldn’t apply to out-of-state schools because her parents wouldn’t allow it. I told her to first get accepted, then work on convincing her parents. Now, with their support, she will be attending Wesleyan on a full ride. Ruhshona’s story is an inspiration to thousands of girls out there: if you think your parents won’t let you study abroad, first get into a top university, and then convince them!

We wish Ruhshona the best of luck in her future endeavors!

Just broke the 170 mark!

I started off with a 144 diagnostic score. People usually have a misconception that you can't improve more than 20 points on the LSAT because its more like an IQ test and you can't increase your IQ. But any test is learnable. You just have to keep pushing and keep practicing.

First, my problem was timing, so for the first 3 months of my study I did practice tests with no time limits just focusing on getting the questions right and understanding why I am getting some wrong. Then, I spent the next 3 months trying to work on the timing. Now, I just have to keep practicing.

My official exam is in 7 weeks! I have some work to do!

Finally broke 165!

This is the first timed exam I scored a 165! Time is my biggest pressure, especially for reading comprehension. I get about 8 minutes per passage, which has anywhere between 5 and 8 questions.

My first official LSAT exam is registered for June. Worst case, I will take it one more time in August. I have been stressed out with having to take 18 credits and focusing on the LSAT at the same time. Trying to maintain a 4.0 GPA while studying for the LSAT is hell, but I gotta do what I gotta do.

I have 2 more weeks before the Semester ends. Final assignments are all coming down on me. I haven’t missed a single lecture nor have I procrastinated this semester, so I am up to date on all of my classes. However, one of the classes I am taking is killing me, and I fear I might end up with an A- in that class.

Anyways, for those of you studying for the SAT and IELTS, just keep going. It might get hard to make progress, and you might feel stupid, but keep going. You will eventually break through.
