Bon! is no longer an all-russian cafe.

I would enjoy practicing my russian every time I enter Bon!. No matter how uzbek I look, and how uzbek the waiters are, they would always approach me in russian. The matter was so serious that they would sometimes respond in russian even when I spoke uzbek.

Interestingly, after the recent complaints Bon! has faced from bloggers, they have changed significantly. Now, russian waiters no longer approach me at all; only uzbek-speaking waiters do. And unlike before, uzbeks here are finally speaking uzbek, and although I'll no longer be able to practice my russian here, I'm glad that my national language is being protected.

Do you think our national language should be protected by publicly criticising the services that don't offer the language. And would you want this channel to be run in Uzbek?

Talking about Eldor to the taxi driver is another level of happiness.

We will make some noice tonight, inshaAllah. Vanderbilt and a few more decisions will be coming out.

It has been this many days since I left my hometown and started living away from my parents.

Seems like last week. Yes, a cliched expression, but it all passed in the blink of an eye.

Thinking about this expression reminded me of the time I used it in a post in 2022. I want to write a similar post today, with the same structure, but a whole different story.

Three days ago, in May 2023, I was stepping on the stage to deliver a valedictorian speech, graduating the high school with great dream destinations, yet with no clue of how to get there. With great ambitions, yet completely unaware of where I will end up.

The day before yesterday, in April 2024, my destination became even more opaque as I opened my last rejection letter. I kept walking towards the dark path, just like the one with a dead-end, and my novel interests and perspectives about life lit the road.

Yesterday, in December of the same year, I was blessed with a big flashlight. The one that - when swtiched on - temporarily removed all the opaqueness, helping me finally see the future years with a much clearer vision.

Today, as of April 2025, I live with the only worry. The one that, if resolved, will let me go back to my hometown, back to my little family, to spend the final months together, closing the chapter I wrote for 1,305 days.

To enjoy the dinner from my mom's hands. To go cycling with my dad round the city where I grew up, as we scrupulously yet joyfully discuss my ambitions.

The rejections and disappointments will all be forgotten as I open a new chapter of my book called life. And I'm one step away from it. Wish me the best. Thanks!

Every fourth subscriber has shared the post. Thank you! 600 reposts is crazy.

Do you know what would be crazier?

To meet these people on the list in-person. All in one room.

Coming soon...

Life is a bit too short to be mad at people.

To be mad at those behind anonymous accounts who try to shame you online, confusing you with someone else.

To be mad at your friend who came to a meeting one hour late without sufficient prior notice.

To be mad at the taxi driver who spent the whole hour trying to convince you to believe in his views without listening to any of yours.

I could write a long post for each occasion, but life is a bit too short for that too.

Failure to communicate effectively results in misunderstandings, misinterpretations, misquotations, and conflict. Let's communicate better, please.

I had the privilege to meet 40 youth who have committed to study at highly selective universities worldwide in a meeting with Alisher Sadullaev.

Networking was the priority. Though I knew almost everyone, I was glad to discuss recent news and plans for the future.

Most importantly, I have pitched the idea of my new initiative to Alisher Sadullaev and thankfully received his approval to collaborate along with positive feedback that truly made me happy and enlightened.

Lasting for about 3 hours, the meeting was full of insights, and I can't wait to meet and work with all these incredible talents in the years to come.

Did you know that I'm a Freshman Academy alumnus since early 2023?

Would you like to know more about my experience with Freshman Academy?

Now what?!

As the 2024-2025 application cycle has ended and almost all the results have been released, many people started reaching out asking me to help them make an important decision.

The question that is now torturing thousand of people is whether to commit to a local university or to take a gap year.

As a person who took two gap years, and who has friends who took gap years before ending up at prestigious universities with full-rides, I surely will be biased to answer that question.

In the interview we shot earlier, I thoroughly explained if, why, and how one should take a gap year. I spoke Uzbek.

Now, I want to organize a free webinar for the English-speaking audience where I try to help people who are in this dilemma of taking a gap year and making the most of it.

As it is absolutely free of charge, all you need to do is to invite people to join this channel. We will organize the webinar as soon as 100 people join. Let's do it!

I and public speaking are good friends.

I noticed my passion for speaking in public back in grade 5, when I would ask permission from my English teacher at school to teach that day's grammar topic to my classmates.

Then, I taught a little in grade 9, then in grade 10, and have been actively teaching in language centers and a private high school since grade 11, constantly improving my spoken language.

After I moved to Tashkent 4 years ago, I was trying to apply to as many programs as I found, and was accepted to a TED-Ed program.

That was where the public speaking journey truly began as I was coached on public speaking for the very first time.

Since then, I spoke in 4 TEDx events and organized 2 TEDx events with my team at school.

Being an organizer, I also worked as a mentor for the speakers, by delivering weekly sessions on storytelling, body language, tone and speed variation, and other crucial aspects of speaking in public.

Once again, I'm co-organizing and mentoring at a new TEDx event. Feel free to apply if you want to start your public speaking journey with me.

The deadline to apply is today. Don't miss out.

I would never imagine being involved in this debate, but I couldn't hold myself.

With all due respect to Ozodbek Botiraliyev, I want to express my opinion about his opinion in this post that says SAT is overrated and it may be easier than IELTS.

As someone who teaches both IELTS and SAT, and as someone who got a supposedly good score from both (8, 1520), I consider myself to be unbiased to express my opinion.

Do you want me to?

During the marathon, we will also do a charity.

Everyday during the webinars, you can donate money.

The person to donate the most amount of money will receive a free consultation from the speaker of that day.

All the money gathered during the marathon will be given to a charity.

Are you waiting for the marathon? If yes, react with a "🔥"

People approached me telling that this reaction video got them very emotional and inspired.

Do you want me to upload the raw footage of my reaction video on my YouTube channel? The unedited video where I spoke for 10 minutes, preparing myself for the decision.

Let me know in the comments.
