Homeland Party January Reshuffle – Treasury & Regional Leadership Updates
The final stage of our January reshuffle sees a new Treasury team and key regional leadership appointments to strengthen our movement for 2025.
Treasury Leadership Change
The ever-impressive East Midlands Regional Organiser, Daniel Gale, has taken over as Treasurer, replacing Jerome O'Reilly.
Jerome has been a fantastic Treasurer, leading one of the toughest roles in a political party. He has built a culture of trust and transparency, a rarity in politics, especially in the Nationalist sphere. His hard work has laid the foundation for our continued growth, facing challenges with financial institutions that we don’t often speak about publicly. Yet, he met each one head-on, ensuring the party could function effectively.
Jerome isn’t going anywhere; he will remain on our National Council as Regional Organiser for Wales and has been tasked with revitalising Welsh activism in 2025.
Daniel is a well-known face nationally, recognised as the master of ceremonies at our conferences, but his contributions behind the scenes have been just as significant. On top of his role as Data Protection Officer, he has been East Midlands Regional Organiser, as well as assisting in Yorkshire and the North East. His leadership will take the Treasury department to the next level, expanding both the team and our income streams to achieve our long-term goal: having full-time staff working for the party.
Regional Leadership Appointments
With Daniel moving on, Tom Batten, the Derbyshire Branch Organiser and key figure behind our website, has stepped up as East Midlands Regional Organiser and has already hit the ground running.
In South Yorkshire, Pete Douglas, a well-known activist and former Branch Organiser, has stepped into the Regional Organiser role. The region is set to make major waves this year.
In the West Midlands, Tom King, previously Greater Birmingham Branch Organiser, has taken over as Regional Organiser, following Cllr Connor Marlow’s decision to step down due to local commitments.
In London, where some claim Nationalism is a lost cause, Regional Organiser Sam Sibbons and his team are proving otherwise with bold activism, showing there is still an appetite for Nationalism in the capital.
Further north, Patrick Miles has taken the reins as North East Regional Organiser, with the team holding their first meeting on Saturday, attracting a strong core of activists committed to putting the party on the map in the region.
