✅ Gym 4 days a week
✅ Safer wing
✅ Part-time job sorting plastic spoons
✅ Weekend visits from his wife and eldest daughter in January
Challenges:
❌ Still missing most of his belongings from the previous prison
❌ Locked in his cell most of the time—only 2.5 hours out per day
❌ One general cell search—resulting in the confiscation of his two shirts with a club logo, a religious book, and a cross he sometimes used to secure his curtains
❌ More frequent cell searches in his absence becoming the norm
❌ Two new restrictions imposed: a total ban on contact with two of his friends and a limit of six 15-minute calls per day
❌ Laptop taken away (seems most TACT offenders had theirs removed)
❌ Several life-threatening encounters
❌ One meeting with his POM—holding onto hope for a better future
❌ And several other things we can’t yet write about here...
But Ash does not give up!
He is fighting to have these restrictions lifted, standing his ground despite everything thrown at him.
