Vancouver Police have announced that they are now confident last night’s ramming incident at the Filipino Lapu Lapu Festival, which resulted in at least 9 deaths, was not a terrorist attack. A 30-year-old Asian male from Vancouver, previously “known” to police for mental health reasons, remains in custody as the investigation into the incident continues.

Israeli officials state that Israel was not behind this morning’s explosion at the port of Bandar Abbas in Southern Iran, according to Channel 12.
A massive cloud of smoke seen rising from the port of Bandar Abbas in Southern Iran, following this morning’s explosion which according to Iranian sources is believed to have been caused by an out-of-control fire coming in contact with a single and/or several chemicals being improperly stored by Iranian Port Authorities. The chemicals which the fire came in contact with are believed to have either been a high-explosive fertilizer like ammonium nitrate and/or a compound used in the production of solid rocket fuel such as sodium perchlorate, both of which are known to come through the port of Bandar Abbas via China.
Chuck Grassley, the Republican President Pro Tempore of the U.S. Senate, has called on President Trump to place tougher sanctions on Russian President Vladimir Putin, stating that there is “clear evidence that he is playing America as a patsy.”
Following his tour of shipbuilding facilities across the United States over the last few weeks, Secretary of the Navy John C. Phelan departed today from Washington, D.C. for his first international trip to the Indo-Pacific.

Large parts of the Iranian port of Bandar Abbas have been entirely destroyed by this morning’s explosion on the shores of the Persian Gulf. Footage of the port shows a number of warehouses as well as other buildings having suffered significant damage, while firefighting and search-and-rescue operations continue.

During his recent interview with Time Magazine, U.S. President Trump was asked if he was worried Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu might drag the United States into a war with Iran, to which he responded, “No - by the way, he may go into a war. But we’re not getting dragged in.” Prompting the interviewer to ask if the U.S. would stay out of a war if Israel starts it, with Trump then stating, “No, I didn’t say that. You asked if he’d drag me in, like I’d go in unwillingly. No, I may go in very willingly if we can't get a deal. If we don't make a deal, I'll be leading the pack.”
George Santos, the disgraced former Republican representative for New York's 3rd congressional district, was sentenced today to 87 months in prison for charges of aggravated identity theft and wire fraud linked to fraudulent activity during the 2022 midterm election. Santos has been ordered to surrender to federal authorities by July 25th, where he is expected to serve at least 2 years of his more than 7 year sentence in prison. He has previously said that he will attempt to petition President Trump for a pardon.
The death toll from today’s explosion and fire at the port of Bandar Abbas in Southern Iran has now risen to 5, with at least 700 reported injuries. Orange smoke, likely nitrogen dioxide, being produced by a fire interacting with a still unknown chemical can be seen right before the explosion occurs; chemical compounds that would produce such smoke as well as the blast include ammonium nitrate, nitrogen tetroxide and nitric acid, all of which are likely to have been stored at Bandar Abbas.
Both the White House and Kyiv have now described this morning’s meeting in Rome between U.S. President Donald J. Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky as “very productive” regarding ongoing negotiations, with several issues said to have been ironed out between the two leaders during their private face-to-face talk within the Vatican.
