If you are afraid of the rapture, and now I have to get personal, aren't you actually insecure about your salvation?
Are you afraid of being left behind because you have no faith or certainty of faith? Or perhaps you think: “I know it all, but later, when I'm old, I 'll make things right with Jesus.” If you're thinking that way, make no mistake. Pretribulationism, (People who believe the rapture occurs before the great tribulation) is Biblically correct and states that those who are born again and follow Christ will not experience the great tribulation that comes upon the earth. In 1 Thessalonians 5:9 we read, " For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ. " This means that God will protect and keep His children from the judgments and trials of the great tribulation. As a believer you can rest easy knowing that God will take care of you and will not abandon you to the worldly chaos and spiritual darkness. Revelation 3:20 confirms the pretribulation rapture by saying, " Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon the whole world, to try them that dwell upon the earth." So Jesus keeps us from the great tribulation.
