ABC NEWS: An unvaccinated school-aged child in Texas has died of measles, the first associated with an outbreak in the western part of the state that has infected more than 100 people.
Lubbock city spokesperson Lauren Adams confirmed the death to ABC News on Wednesday.
In a press release, the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) said the child was hospitalized in Lubbock, located in northwestern Texas, last week and tested positive for measles.

2. This veteran has also suffered great personal challenges because of this observation. "It broke my reality", he says.
This is one concept we touched on during the BNN show yesterday, and I mentioned it again on my channel: we aren't ready for all the truths yet. Especially for our veterans, there is a high cost to learning truths when it comes to war, conflicts, risks they faced and deaths and injuries they and their fellows have incurred. The idea that they were fooled into risking their lives, and suffering as they have, while OUR government politicians and others faked things and sent them for their own power and money and to weaken their country instead of strengthening it...that can be so hard as to lead to drug abuse and suicide.
She made his drinking a joke. Look in his eyes and tell me this awakening didn't come at a major, and very serious cost to him.
For men and women like him, we need to be patient and let the awakening take as long as it needs to. Show respect, consideration and compassion for our fellow Americans, and be ready to be a shoulder for those who will need it most.👇

An American Airlines jet aborted a landing at Reagan National Airport in Washington, D.C., to avoid a collision with another plane on Tuesday morning, aviation officials said.
The flight was making its final descent at 8:20 a.m. ET when the pilot saw another plane preparing to take off from the runway and made the quick decision to perform a go-around maneuver, in which the pilot pulled up and ascended toward the skies, to avoid the other aircraft, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) said in a statement to Fox News Digital.
The FAA said the maneuver was made to "ensure separation was maintained between this aircraft and a preceding departure from the same runway."

An internal document from Immigration and Customs and Enforcement (ICE), headlined the "Unaccompanied Alien Children Joint Initiative Field Implementation," said the initiative claims to prevent children from being human trafficked or other types of exploitation.
There are more than 600,000 migrant children who have crossed the U.S.-Mexico border without a legal guardian or parent since 2019, according to government data.
The initiative, according to the source familiar, claims to ensure migrant children are not victims of human trafficking or victims of other forms of exploitation. The plan, which lays out four phases of implementation, said minors would be served a notice to appear in immigration court or deported -- if deportation orders were pending against them.
