You can’t hold onto darkness and expect to walk in the light. True freedom is found in Jesus alone.
True purity isn’t just about saying ‘no’ to sin, but saying ‘yes’ to God.

Can a Christian have a demon? The answer might shock you. Watch until the end!
Stop Holding on to These People…

1. The Betrayer (Judas-Type)
These are people who betray your trust and loyalty for their gain. They often pretend to be close but work against you.

Judas Iscariot betrayed Jesus for 30 pieces of silver (Matthew 26:14-16). Jesus released him, knowing his betrayal would fulfill God’s plan.

"Even my close friend, someone I trusted, one who shared my bread, has turned against me." (Psalm 41:9)

2. The Toxic Companion (Jonah-Type)
People who bring storms into your life because they are running from God's will for their life.

The sailors with Jonah faced a violent storm until they threw him overboard (Jonah 1:7-15). Sometimes, peace comes when you let go of people who bring chaos.

"Do not be misled: ‘Bad company corrupts good character.’" (1 Corinthians 15:33)

3. The Distractor (Delilah-Type)

People who entice and distract you from your purpose, often using manipulation or seduction.

Delilah caused Samson to lose his strength and connection with God (Judges 16:15-20). Holding on to such people leads to spiritual weakness.

"A companion of fools suffers harm." (Proverbs 13:20)

4. The Doubter (10 Spies-Type)

People who discourage you from stepping into God’s promises because they focus on fear and obstacles.

The 10 spies who discouraged Israel from entering the Promised Land (Numbers 13:31-33). Their negativity caused an entire generation to miss out on God's blessing.

But My servant Caleb has a different spirit and follows Me wholeheartedly." (Numbers 14:24)

5. The User (Prodigal Friends-Type)

People who are only around for what they can gain from you but leave when times get tough.

The prodigal son’s so-called “friends” disappeared as soon as his money ran out (Luke 15:13-16). Such people don’t invest in your growth or future.

"Wealth attracts many friends, but even the closest friend of the poor person deserts them." (Proverbs 19:4)

6. The Oppressor (Pharaoh-Type)

People who refuse to let you grow, keeping you bound to unhealthy cycles or relationships for their benefit.

Pharaoh refused to release the Israelites, keeping them in slavery until God intervened (Exodus 5:1-2). Sometimes, God removes oppressors to set you free.

"It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery." (Galatians 5:1)

7. The Envious (Saul-Type)

People who can’t celebrate your success and instead try to sabotage or compete with you out of jealousy.

King Saul envied David and repeatedly tried to kill him because of his success and God’s favor (1 Samuel 18:7-11).

"For where you have envy and selfish ambition, there you find disorder and every evil practice." (James 3:16)

8. The Limiter (Lot-Type)

People who may not necessarily be bad, but their presence holds you back from stepping into the fullness of God’s plan for your life. They cause unnecessary strife and limit your growth.

Abraham and Lot separated after their herdsmen quarreled (Genesis 13:5-9). Once Lot left, God revealed the full extent of His promise to Abraham (Genesis 13:14-17). Sometimes, releasing people—even good ones—is necessary for clarity and progress.

"The Lord said to Abram, after Lot had parted from him, 'Look around from where you are... All the land that you see I will give to you and your offspring forever.'" (Genesis 13:14-15)

Holding on to these kinds of people can hinder your destiny, growth, and relationship with God. Sometimes, God removes them as an act of mercy and protection.

Trust God’s pruning process and remember: "Every branch that does bear fruit He prunes so that it will be even more fruitful." (John 15:2)

Waiting for the Right Person

• Strengthen Your Relationship with God: Use this time to deepen your faith. Engage in prayer, Bible study, and worship. A strong spiritual foundation can prepare you for a healthy, God-centered relationship.

• Pursue Personal Growth: Work on personal development. This can include pursuing education, building a career, developing hobbies, or improving life skills. A well-rounded individual often attracts a similar kind of partner.

• Serve in Your Church: Get involved in church activities. This not only allows you to contribute positively to others' lives but also might lead you to meet like-minded individuals.

• Cultivate Meaningful Relationships: Build strong relationships with family and friends. These relationships can provide support, guidance, and joy in your life, regardless of your relationship status.

• Understand Your Values and What You Seek in a Partner: Reflect on what qualities are important to you in a partner and what values you want your relationship to be based on. This will help you in making wise choices when dating.

• Practice Contentment: Learn to be content in your current stage of life. Contentment brings peace and happiness, which is attractive to others and beneficial to you, whether single or in a relationship.

• Stay Physically Healthy and Sexually Pure. Take care of your physical and mental health. Exercise regularly, eat healthily, and seek emotional healing and maturity. Abstain from sexual impurity.

• Set Boundaries: Understand and establish your personal boundaries in relationships. This includes physical, emotional, and spiritual boundaries that align with your Christian values.

• Pray for Your Future Spouse: Even if you haven’t met them yet, pray for your future partner. Pray for their growth, well-being, and that your paths will cross at the right time.

• Be Open to God’s Plan: Remain open to the ways God might work in your life. This can include unexpected opportunities or paths, so be receptive to His guidance, even if it leads in an unanticipated direction.
You can’t hold onto darkness and expect to walk in the light. True freedom is found in Jesus alone.

Is Oneness Pentecostalism Christian?

Oneness Pentecostalism originated in 1913 at a Pentecostal camp meeting in California. At the meeting, R.E. McAlister highlighted that the apostles baptized in “Jesus’ name” (Acts 2:38) rather than using the Trinitarian formula (Matthew 28:19). This inspired John Schaepe to claim a revelation about the significance of Jesus’ name.

Frank Ewart and Glenn Cook, studying God’s oneness, concluded that God is not three persons but three manifestations. They identified Jesus as God. In 1914, they rebaptized each other in Jesus’ name and began promoting this non-Trinitarian belief.

The Assemblies of God denomination, formed that same year, rejected this doctrine. Oneness ministers eventually organized separately, leading to the creation of the United Pentecostal Church International (UPCI) in 1945. UPCI is now the largest Oneness Pentecostal group, with 45,000 churches and 5.8 million members in 231 nations.

Main Positions of the Oneness View

1. God Exists in Three Modes, Not Persons

🔷The Oneness view teaches that God is one Being who operates in three “modes” (Father, Son, and Spirit) rather than 3 distinct persons.

🔷Proponents like David K. Bernard emphasize God’s oneness using verses such as Deuteronomy 6:4, Isaiah 9:6, John 10:30, and Colossians 2:9.

🔷They reject the doctrine of the Trinity, which sees God as three distinct persons revealed in the Scriptures, like at Jesus’ baptism (Matthew 3:16-17) and in the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19).
2. Water Baptism is Required for Salvation

🔷Oneness theology holds that baptism "in the name of Jesus Christ" (Acts 2:38) is necessary for the forgiveness of sins and receiving the Holy Spirit.

🔷They reject the Trinitarian baptismal formula, interpreting baptism in Jesus’ name as a literal requirement rather than just a declaration of authority.

🔷Critics argue that salvation comes by grace through faith (Ephesians 2:8-9) and that baptism is a symbolic act of obedience, not a requirement for salvation, as seen with the thief on the cross.
3. Speaking in Tongues is Evidence of Salvation

🔷Oneness Pentecostals teach that receiving the Holy Spirit must be evidenced by speaking in tongues.

🔷They equate Spirit-baptism and Spirit-indwelling, unlike the Assemblies of God which distinguishes between the two.

🔷Without speaking in tongues, they believe a person is not truly saved.
4. Exclusive Salvation Through Oneness Beliefs

🔷Oneness believers assert that only those baptized in Jesus’ name and who follow their interpretation of John 3:5 and Acts 2:38 are saved.

🔷They hold that Christians in other denominations may eventually be led to the “full truth” but are not born again unless they follow this process.
5. Distinctive Dress and Hairstyles

🔷Oneness Pentecostals maintain strict dress codes, particularly for women, to differentiate from general society.
Women typically wear long, uncut hair and modest clothing.
Men maintain short hairstyles and modest attire.

🔷These standards are seen as an expression of holiness and separation, though specifics vary among Oneness churches.

I respect "Jesus Only" folks but strongly disagree with their views on the Trinity, water baptism for salvation, and Holy Spirit indwelling. Though Oneness Pentecostalism is similar to other Pentecostal groups in practice, it is set apart by its erroneous teachings on the nature of God and the ritual of baptism. These beliefs exclude it from orthodox Christianity, which upholds the Trinity as central to the faith.

Oneness theology resembles Modalism, an ancient heresy claiming God appears in three roles, not as three persons. The Church rejected this over 1,500 years ago as unbiblical and still remains inconsistent with the Scriptures today.
