Palm Beach County Candidate Hosts Fundraiser to Expose Election Misconduct Ahead of Historic Court Hearing
Manalapan, FL — Jeff “Bongi” Buongiorno, Republican candidate for Palm Beach County Supervisor of Elections and pro se litigant in a landmark election contest, will host a grassroots fundraiser titled “Bar Pies & Bar Complaints with Bongi” on Saturday, April 26 at 3:30 PM at Art Basil restaurant in Manalapan, Florida (in the Publix plaza).
The event aims to raise critical legal funds ahead of a historic evidentiary hearing set for May 22, 2025—the first such hearing in a Florida election contest in more than twenty years.
“This isn’t just about one election,” said Buongiorno. “This is about systemic official misconduct, concealed evidence, discriminatory retaliation, and the abuse of legal process to silence challengers and protect incumbents. I’m taking this to court—and I’m taking the people with me.”
The fundraiser will feature a breakdown of the explosive allegations at the center of Buongiorno’s court case, including:
Tampering of election records, including EL-45A reports with manipulated timestamps;
Withholding of critical audit logs, allegedly in violation of state and federal law;
Retaliatory legal threats against campaign volunteers who challenged questionable ballots;
False representations to the Court by defense counsel;
A pattern of unethical conduct by government attorneys—now subject to potential Bar complaints.
Buongiorno’s complaint, filed in November 2024, was initially challenged as untimely. However, the Court has since allowed the matter to proceed to an evidentiary hearing—a rare and significant move that underscores the seriousness of the allegations.
“This is the first election contest in Florida to reach an evidentiary hearing in over two decades,” said Buongiorno. “That fact alone shows something extraordinary is at play.”
