The Iranian Foreign Ministry announced in a statement that the second round of negotiations with the United States will be held in the Sultanate of Oman.
Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Esmail Baqi said: "The next round of indirect negotiations between Iran and the United States is scheduled to be held in Muscat on April 19."
He added: "After consultations, it was decided that Muscat will remain the venue for the second round of talks, which will take place on Saturday."
Representatives from the United States and Iran held a meeting in Oman today, April 12, to discuss ways to resolve the nuclear crisis.
US President Donald Trump's Special Envoy for Iran, Steve Witkoff, described the negotiations with Iran as positive and constructive.
Earlier, the Iranian Foreign Ministry clarified in a statement that the negotiations between representatives of Iran and the United States regarding a settlement to Tehran's nuclear program took place in a constructive atmosphere. In turn, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi announced that the next round of negotiations between Tehran and Washington will be held on April 19 in Oman at the same level.
