Scilla or Scilla vine🪻
Legend has it that in the 16th century, the botanist Charles Clusius incorrectly determined the origin of the plant. After examining the bulbs, which had arrived on a ship named Peru, he mistakenly believed the plant to be native to Peru and named it Hyacinthus stellatus peruanus. In 1753 Linnaeus renamed it Scilla peruviana.
