John has just said in verse 1 that we are the children of God why does he repeated again in verse two because he wants to drive this essential truth home and Clinch it in our minds he says right now we are Children of GOD in the present that our current position ought to dominate every aspect of our daily lives some grow up in unloving homes. Anger flares up everyday the TV spews out moral filth into the living room the BIBLE is never read family prayer times are non-existent and moral training from the BIBLE teaching the children and the adults the LOVE OF CHRIST does not exist. If it dose then the child is told consider safe sex. A child growing up in this kind of family is bound to be damaged unless the GRACE OF GOD grabs hold of him. Other children grow up in GODLY homes. Church begins at home the LOVE OF CHRIST time to pray time to worship the living GOD is very important if you bring up a child in the love of Christ you give him a good foundation.... Listen to the Endtime Warnings in the Bible
In 1959 construction was completed on the tallest dam in the world. It rose 860 feet above the village of Longarone, 60 miles north of Venice in Italy. During construction it became apparent that the mountains around the dam were unstable, and engineers warned there could be landslides. A landslide crashing into a dam would cause water to spill over the front of the dam, and that would be a disaster. But the warnings were ignored. In fact, journalists who raised the alarm were sued by the 31 Italian government for โundermining the social order.โ
Four years after the dam was completed a massive landslide dumped so much rock and dirt and debris into the damโin a very big hurryโthat an enormous wave 820 feet high surged over the top of the dam down into the valley, inundating five villages and killing around 2000 people. It wouldnโt have happened if people had listened to the warnings. Are you listening to the warnings? The Bible warns of a time of trouble coming. It warns about the return of Jesus. There are warnings about sin and judgment and the fate of the lost. But really, theyโre more than warnings. Theyโre opportunities to be in the right relationship with God. Luke 12:40 says, โBe ye therefore ready also: for the Son of man cometh at an hour when ye think not.โ Jesus is coming back soon. Knowing that is an opportunity. Knowing the Bible talks about a time of trouble, thatโs an opportunityโto come to Jesus in faith and accept Him as your Lord and Savior. If youโre living close to Jesus, hold on and donโt let go. If youโre not, youโre hearing this because God loves you and wants you to make the decision to let Je sus into your heart and life.
