Despite the blockade and severe shortages, some families in Gaza try to prepare traditional Palestinian dishes like maftoul on Fridays, using only the limited ingredients available.
The maftoul is made without meat or poultry, often using flour that is either spoiled or sold at prices higher than gold.
As for vegetables, they are grown by the families themselves near their tents to feed their children—
all under the ongoing blockade, the prevention of aid entry, and the silence of the world.

The Palestinian Red Crescent reported that only body parts were recovered from the scene, while evidence suggests that the occupation forces retained part of the martyr’s body before withdrawing from the area.

Yesterday, nearly a dozen Columbia university security or ‘peace officers’ brutally attacked a student protesting for Palestine by repeatedly choking him whilst he called for help after the launch of Basel Al-Araj Popular University where the NYPD made multiple arrests. The student described the assault on his social media detailing the assault stating, “I was choked and going in and out of consciousness after the arrest. One of them kept trying to gouge my eyes. They slammed my head into the floor multiple times. It literally felt like I was getting jumped.”
