ManUp is standing up where others won’t.
The Wellington Pride Parade came to a sudden standstill today as ManUp’s haka rang out, the Police Pride Brigade formed a barrier, and the Pride Parade responded with hissing and curses.
The last time we stood up, as our haka went viral across the world, reaching over 60 million...not ONE NZ politician had the guts to say that we have a point...that public displays of perversion have no place on our streets in front of children.

The narrative being spun is that Richard Prebble is an extremist. This is unhelpful hyperbolic nonsense, but let's pretend it is true. One reason given to me, apart from his recent comments about the Waitangi Tribunal, is that he called for putting an end date on Treaty settlement claims in 2004.

Helen Clark is surely far more of an extremist given her govt also passed the Foreshore and Seabed Act 2004 that gave the Crown ownership of the public foreshore and seabed. Of course, John Tamihere was a key advocate for that law as part of the Clark govt so perhaps he is an extremist too.
