"Dear Ukrainians! Now there are events that are really historical and determine the future of our state. They are created by our defenders, all citizens who have risen up against the Russian invasion and are helping to defend Ukraine. We have already changed the world. I want to inform you about some details of what happened in recent days and what awaits us ...
...The transition to Western calibers and technology is a strategic decision that has finally been made. In particular, we are already receiving 155-mm artillery. Gradually, this will ensure full interoperability of the Ukrainian army with the armies of NATO countries. Which will be a significant strengthening of the Alliance's eastern flank. I will not hide - three months ago this task was considered almost impossible. But thanks to the courage and professionalism of Ukrainian soldiers, the resilience of the Ukrainian people, everything has changed ...
... Our soldiers have been mastering Western weapons for some time. We have not advertised this work to provide comfort to our partners. Now the training programs will be scaled up and extended even to those models of weapons and equipment for which Ukraine has no political decisions yet. When these decisions are made, which I personally have no doubt about, we will be ready. By the way, I already have an interesting experience. Our artillerymen, who were training on a 155-mm artillery at a test site in one of the countries, hit the target with the first shot. And then they helped foreign colleagues to improve the computer program that manages this artillery. Which made the appropriate impression. After all, our soldiers have behind them the experience of war, real battles, where the price of error is life...
...The general conclusion based on the results of the meeting at the Rammstein base is that these are truly historical changes that will materialize in the coming weeks and months...
At the same time, I want us all to have the right expectations. There are some extremely difficult weeks ahead. Practical implementation of agreements, training and logistics take some time. And russia has already gathered forces for a large-scale offensive in eastern Ukraine. Assistance to Ukraine will grow, but in the coming days we will need all our resilience and extraordinary unity. The enemy is already aware of its strategic defeat, but will still try to inflict as much pain on us as possible. Unfortunately, we will still lose our soldiers before the victory. There will still be destruction and painful casualties. We have to endure. And we will endure!
For those who fought for a free Ukraine in different eras. For the sake of the defenders of Mariupol, Kharkiv, Izium, Rubizhne, Sumy, Chernihiv and heroes from other cities who have won and continue to win time for Ukraine. For the sake of future generations. We will liberate our land. We will bring back our people. Ukraine will win! Now we are not the only ones who are sure of that. Glory to Ukraine!"
