Bill Targeting Explicit Library Materials in Schools Clears House and Senate - Texas Scorecard
https://texasscorecard.com/state/bill-targeting-explicit-library-materials-in-schools-clears-house-and-senate/

The bill removes broad exemptions in Texas law that currently shield school officials, librarians, and others from prosecution for distributing material deemed harmful to minors, so long as it is for an “educational purpose.”

Warning Signs of Spiritual Decline: Dr. Ron Rhodes Every journey has its signposts — some pointing the way forward, others warning of danger ahead. Our spiritual walk is no different. Sometimes, before a believer strays far from God, subtle signals begin to flash like spiritual warning lights on the dashboard of the soul. Recognizing these signs early can make all the difference between drifting and returning, between growing cold and catching fire again.

Here are some common signs of spiritual decline — and how God lovingly calls us back to Himself:

1. DIMINISHED DESIRE FOR GOD’S WORD

When Bible reading feels like a chore instead of a joy, it’s often a sign our hearts are cooling.

“Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.” (Matthew 4:4)

If we stop feeding our spirit, we grow spiritually malnourished. But the good news is this: Even a small step back into Scripture can awaken hunger again.

2. NEGLECT OF PRAYER

Prayer is our lifeline to God, yet one of the first things we drop when we drift.

“Pray without ceasing.” (1 Thessalonians 5:17)

“Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you.” (James 4:8)

Even a whispered prayer of, “Lord, I miss You,” can open the floodgates of grace.

3. LOSS OF JOY AND GRATITUDE

When the spark is gone and bitterness begins to take root, it’s time to pause.

“Restore to me the joy of Your salvation.” (Psalm 51:12)

“In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” (1 Thessalonians 5:18)

Joy is not the absence of trouble — it’s the presence of Jesus. Gratitude reignites the heart.

4. COMPROMISE WITH SIN

What once grieved us now barely stings. That’s a dangerous place.

“Do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God.” (Ephesians 4:30)

“Let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles.” (Hebrews 12:1)

God’s conviction of sin is a gift — it means He hasn’t stopped speaking to your heart.

5. ISOLATION FROM OTHER BELIEVERS

The ember that rolls away from the fire cools quickly.

“Let us not give up meeting together… but encourage one another.” (Hebrews 10:25)

We were never meant to walk this road alone. Fellowship stirs up faith, love, and accountability.

6. LACK OF PASSION FOR WORSHIP OR SERVICE

When praising God feels like lip service and serving others feels like a burden, we may be coasting on empty.

“Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord.” (Romans 12:11)

God is not asking for perfection — just a willing heart. And He’s the one who can rekindle the flame.

7. APATHY TOWARD THE LOST

When we stop caring whether people know Jesus, our vision has grown dim.

“The Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.” (Luke 19:10)

“Go and make disciples of all nations.” (Matthew 28:19)

Reignite your passion for the gospel by remembering the day Jesus found you.

THE HOPE IN THE WARNING

If you see these signs in your life, don’t despair — rejoice. Why? Because the very fact that you notice them is proof that the Spirit of God is still working in you. He’s calling you back — not to shame you, but to heal and revive you.

God’s mercy is new every morning (Lamentations 3:22–23). His arms are still open wide. And even now, He’s whispering, “Come home.”

A PRAYER

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for loving me enough to warn me when I begin to drift. Thank You for Your gentle correction and patient pursuit of my heart. I confess any area of my life that has grown cold, bitter, or distant from You.

Please rekindle my love for Your Word. Awaken in me a desire to pray, to worship, and to walk closely with You. Restore the joy of my salvation and renew a right spirit within me. Help me turn from compromise and run back into Your arms with fresh zeal.

Keep my eyes on Jesus. Help me live each day for Your glory until I see You face to face.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

And a pre-condition of getting a deal with the US will be cutting ties with & ending business with China.

China thought things would remain status quo. America signaled this is about National Survival & we would not accept the status quo any longer.

The world is re-aligning, & every country thats been the victim of Chinese predatory practices is now racing to dump China & partner with America.
