Afnan Abu Hussein, 24, was abducted from her home in Bani Naim, east of al-Khalil, by occupation forces today, who invaded the town and stormed her family home. Afnan is 9 months pregnant and the mother of a 2-year-old child. Free Afnan Abu Hussein and all Palestinian prisoners now!

On 29 October 2024, Samah Hijjawi, a Palestinian prisoner liberated by the resistance in the November 2023 exchanges, was again ordered to 6 months imprisonment without charge or trial under Zionist "administrative detention." Samah was re-arrested by occupation forces that invaded her home on 7 October 2024.
At the time of her liberation, Samah was also held under administrative detention without charge or trial. There are currently approximately 3,500 Palestinians jailed under administrative detention out of over 10,000 Palestinian political prisoners, not counting Palestinians kidnapped from Gaza. Administrative detention orders — first introduced to Palestine by the British colonial mandate and then adopted by the Zionist regime — are indefinitely renewable, and Palestinians spend years at a time jailed with no evidence, no charges and no trial.
Samah was previously arrested on 17 May 2023 after being summoned for an interrogation with the occupation intelligence and an administrative detention order was issued against her for a period of 4 months. Just days before, on 11 May 2023, she had been summoned by the Palestinian Authority intelligence, which engages in “security coordination” with the occupation, for an interrogation about her social media posts.
Multiple Palestinian women liberated in the exchange have been re-arrested, including Hanan Barghouthi, Walaa Tanja, Dania Hanatsheh, Haneen Masaed, Aseel Samih Khader, and Yasmeen Shaaban (who was released hours later), while Nofouth Hammad was summoned for interrogation, and in the most recent attack, Fadwa Hamadeh was ordered to 2 years in prison over an incident where she defended a fellow prisoner from a jailer in 2020. All of these re-arrests come in direct violation of the prisoner exchange agreement.

Ibrahim Abu Safiyeh (30 years old) from the village of Beit Sira, Ramallah Governorate. A graduate of the Journalism and Media major, Political Science minor, from Birzeit University; and a non-regular student in the postgraduate track within the Israeli Studies major at Al-Quds University - Abu Dis. He was arrested twice; the first during the period 2016-2017 and the second during the period 2022-2024; and during his second period of detention, the Al-Aqsa Flood War began, which was reflected inside the Zionist prisons by tightening the conditions and repression of Palestinian prisoners and depriving them of the basic necessities of life, such as food, water and clothing. He was released on 6-8-2024. His wife, the freed prisoner Ikhlas Sawalha, was arrested during Ibrahim's second period of detention. He worked in journalism for the Palestinian Al-Hadath newspaper - in Palestine.

Afnan Abu Hussein, 24 and nine months pregnant with her second child and a scheduled caesarean section later this month, is finally free on cash bail of 5,000 NIS ($1300 USD/1200 EUR). She was abducted from her home in Bani Naim, near al-Khalil, yesterday by occupation forces. Despite an order for her to be released on bail, she was instead moved to prison and then hospitalized due to her delicate health conditions, in harsh conditions.
An ambulance received her at the Kfar Saba checkpoint near Qalqilya, and will take her to the hospital in Qalqilya to give her fluids before transferring her to al-Khalil. Afnan is also the mother of 2-year-old Ubaida.
