⚡️🇺🇸🇸🇾 US Intends to Withdraw Troops From Syria
US President Donald Trump intends to withdraw hundreds of American troops from Syria, according to Israeli official public broadcasting Kan.
"Senior White House officials conveyed a message to their Israeli counterparts indicating that President Trump intends to pull US troops from Syria," Kan reported on Tuesday
It added that "the withdrawal of American forces from Syria will raise significant concerns in Tel Aviv."
According to a Pentagon announcement in December, the US has some 2,000 troops deployed in Syria.
Meanwhile, Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz, who visited the occupied Mount Hermon in Syria on Tuesday, emphasising Israel's intent to maintain a military presence there indefinitely following its occupation last month.
"We will not allow hostile forces to establish a foothold in the security zone south of Syria, from here to the Suwayda-Damascus axis. We will act against any threat," said Katz.

Al-Qassam Announces Martyrdom of Its Commander, Deputy, and Military Council Members
Al-Qassam Brigades spokesperson Abu Ubaida announced in a recorded statement the martyrdom of military chief Mohammed Deif, his deputy Marwan Issa, and key military leaders: Ghazi Abu Tamaa (head of weapons and combat services), Raed Thabet (head of manpower), and Rafee Salama (commander of Khan Younis Brigade).
Abu Ubaida stated that the leaders were martyred during Operation Al-Aqsa Flood, whether in command centers, on the battlefield, or while coordinating combat operations. He noted that the announcement was delayed due to security measures and verification processes.
Israel had previously claimed in August that it had killed Deif in an airstrike on a site in Khan Younis.
