A local lad has been selected for Team GB Ice Hockey, but hockey doesn't receive the same funding as other sports, and so the kids parents have to fund the trips/kit themselves.

It survived German bombing raids, and multiple attempts by various demolition contractors after the railway closed in 1968.
The Iron Giant refused to come down, and is still standing with all the might of a Spartan warrior.
