India Employed Israeli Air Defense Systems To Repel Pakistani Attacks
The Indian military used Israeli-made air defense systems to repel Pakistani drone and missile attack during the last confrontation.
Photos posted to social networks on May 11 and before showed the wreckage of what appears to be Barak 8 and Python-5 anti-aircraft missiles, which are used in the Israeli-made MR-SAM and SPYDER-SR medium-range air defense systems, respectively.
The MR-SAM can engage aerial targets with a range of 70 kilometers using the Barak 8 missile, which is guided by active radar homing. Meanwhile, the heat-seeking Python-5, originally an air-to-air missile, can engage targets as far as 40 kilometers when launched from the SPYDER-SR.
Indian ground forces operate five MR-SAM regiments, made up of 40 launchers. An additional 18 squadrons with 140 launchers are in service with the air force, which also operates 18 SPYDER-SR.

Western Media Claims Again That Iran Is Shipping Ballistic Missiles To Russia
Iran is preparing to deliver the launchers for short-range ballistic missiles that the United States claimed Tehran shipped to Russia last year for use against Ukraine, Reuters reported on 10.
The missiles in question are from the Fath-360 type, which is guided by a satellite-aided Inertial navigation system and has a range of up to 120 kilometers.
Two Western security officials and a regional official told the news agency the delivery of the Fath-360 launchers was imminent, without elaborating.
Last September, the U.S. said that Iran delivered hundreds of ballistic missiles to Russia on nine Russian-flagged ships. The ships were sanctioned by Washington at the time. Later, Reuters reported, citing three Western officials, that the launchers were not included.

Pakistan Used Advanced Air-Launched Ballistic Missiles In Recent Attack On India
The Pakistani military on May 10 released video footage showing a JF-17 fighter jet of the Pakistan Air Force armed with two Chinese-made CM-400AKG air-launched ballistic missiles taking off from an undisclosed air base before taking part in an attack on Indian military positions in the early morning.
The attack was carried out in response to an overnight Indian missile strike that targeted key bases in Pakistan, including Nur Khan Air Base close to Islamabad.
The JF-17 seen in the footage with the CM-400AKG missiles was reportedly tasked with attacking a Russian-made S-400 long-range air defense system of the Indian military deployed at Udhampur.
The CM-400AKG is an air-launched derivative of the SY-400 tactical ballistic missile developed by the China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation. It was first unveiled at the 2012 China International Aviation & Aerospace Exhibition.

Israel Has Successfully Manipulated The Former Al-Qaeda In Syria, But Is Concerned About The Turkish-Iranian Alliance
After the genocide on the coast, the chaos of the Tahrir al-Sham regime has spread to the southern Syrian Druze areas. After several days of intense fighting, it became clear that most of the Druze see themselves only within the federal political structure of Syria, while the former Jabhat Nusra regime continues to insist on subordination to their autocracy with its capital in Damascus.
Analysts are rushing to explain the confrontation between the Druze and the jihadists as a consequence of the “cold war” that has begun between the Zionists and the Turks in Syria. There is logic in this, but it is too early to talk about the beginning of a serious conflict and there are a number of reasons for this...

The Unknown War
Today, SouthFront shares the 11th part of the series titled “The Battle of the Seas”. Soviet sailors played a key role in the struggle against the Nazis from the start, not only at sea but also on land.
On the first day of Operation Barbarossa, late in June of 1941, German planes attacked Soviet fleets and naval bases. Not only the Baltic, but also the Black Sea Fleet was attacked.
In Spring 1942, Hitler set the task of destroying the Baltic Fleet. On April 4, Operation “Ice Strike” began, but the Soviet Baltic Fleet survived.
In the spring of 1943 Hitlerites compressed the ring of blockade around Leningrad, trying to lock the fleet in the city, they blocked the Gulf of Finland with a continuous network barrier. But all was in vain.
The Baltic Fleet broke through to the high seas in 1944. Battles were fought on a front thousands of kilometers long. The Black Sea Fleet would return in the same year to both Sevastopol and Odessa and help liberate them from the Nazis.

Putin Says Russia Wants Ceasefire Kiev Would Respect
Russian President Vladimir Putin has offered Ukraine a chance to return to direct negotiations “without any preconditions,” stressing that Moscow would only accept a ceasefire that Kiev would actually respect.
In an address early on May 11, Putin recalled how Ukraine violated several ceasefire agreements, including a 30-day moratorium on strikes against energy infrastructure that was recently brokered by the United States.
Still, Putin offered Kiev the chance to resume the direct talks they themselves interrupted at the end of 2022 “without any preconditions.”

Today, SouthFront shares the 10th part of the series titled “The Partisans”. This part of the series sheds light on the secret operations of Soviet partisans behind enemy lines during WW II.
Calling themselves “the People's Avengers,” Soviet partisans began to launch attacks against the Nazis right after the start of the invasion.
Despite their limited resources, the partisans coordinated their operations from the get go. The Soviet High Command established later a central headquarters for the partisan movement under the leadership of Panteleimon Ponomarenko.
By July 1943, the partisans had killed 300,000 Germans, destroyed more than 3,000 bridges, destroyed 1,000 tanks and 500 airplanes.
The partisans were a real people's army, soldiers of the night forests. Their sacrifices played a key role in the decisive victory of the Soviets over the Nazis.

The Unknown War
Today, SouthFront shares the 9th part of the series titled “War in the Air”. The Soviet Air Forces showed great resilience in the face of the Luftwaffe during World War II.
Soviet airfields were among the first targets hit by the Nazis with the start of Operation Barbarossa on June 22 of 1941. 800 Soviet airplanes were lost on the ground and 40 in the air.
German newspapers announced the triumph, but failed to take into account the determination of Soviet pilots and the capabilities of Soviet industry.
On August 8 of the same year, Soviet bombers raided Berlin. Goebbels attributed the raid to British bombers in a desperate attempt to hide the embarrassing failure of the Luftwaffe.
After the Battle of Stalingrad in 1943, the Soviet Air Forces became dominant in the air. The Germans experienced endless aerial bombardment.
The Russians had shot down 77,000 Nazi airplanes by the end of the war. The Soviet Air Forces emerged victorious over the Luftwaffe, which was wiped out.
