I would be remiss to not mention that the great king Nebuchadnezzar, upon hearing his dream and the interpretation thereof, fell to his knees and praised the living God.
The king answered unto Daniel, and said, Of a truth it is, that your God is a God of gods, and a Lord of kings, and a revealer of secrets, seeing thou couldest reveal this secret.
Again, faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
Nebuchadnezzar isn't quite there yet, but he will come to understand the truth of this statement, and proclaim it throughout the world.

48 Then the king made Daniel a great man, and gave him many great gifts, and made him ruler over the whole province of Babylon, and chief of the governors over all the wise men of Babylon.
49 Then Daniel requested of the king, and he set Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, over the affairs of the province of Babylon: but Daniel sat in the gate of the king.

Almah, used seven times in the OT (e.g., Genesis 24:43, Rebekah as virgin), denotes a young, unmarried woman, often implying virginity in context (Song of Solomon 6:8). The NT’s parthenos (Matthew 1:23) accurately renders almah’s meaning, reflecting the miraculous sign of a virgin birth. Similarities with 4th-century LXX texts are due to shared translation choices, not NT dependence on a 2nd-century BC Septuagint. Like KJV translators, who used English terms (e.g., “charity” for agape) to convey meaning, NT writers rendered Hebrew into Greek, preserving sense over literalism. This explains overlaps without requiring a mythical LXX.
4th-Century Revision
The LXX, as preserved in Vaticanus and Sinaiticus, is a 4th-century AD Roman Catholic product, revised to align with NT quotations. These minority texts, produced in Christian scriptoria, show deliberate harmonization.
For example, Isaiah 7:14’s parthenos in Vaticanus matches Matthew 1:23, supporting the virgin birth, while the MT’s almah is ambiguous. Origen’s Hexapla (240 AD) and the Lucianic recension (300 AD) demonstrate Catholic scribes editing Greek OT texts, often to reflect NT theology.
The Catholic Church, an apostate institution of the 4th century, sponsored this revisionism, as seen in Jerome’s Vulgate (382–405 AD), which included the Apocrypha despite early fathers like Melito and Jerome questioning their canonicity.
The Apocrypha’s inclusion, absent from the Jewish MT and warned against by Athanasius, reflects Catholic tampering, not divine preservation.
Unreliable Minority Texts
Vaticanus and Sinaiticus, the backbone of the LXX, are unreliable.
Their 4th-century dating, largely affirmed by Catholic-controlled scholarship (e.g., Vatican Library for Vaticanus), faces providential questions. Sinaiticus’ authenticity is further doubted due to 19th-century forgery claims by Constantine Simonides, who alleged creating it in 1839–1840. While paleography supports their antiquity, their 6,000–7,000 NT variants contrast with the Byzantine Majority Text’s harmony, which underpins the KJV. Westcott and Hort, 19th-century heretics with liberal biases, championed these texts to undermine the Textus Receptus, driven by profit and unorthodox agendas. Their work, like Catholic dating, cannot be trusted against the MT’s fidelity, confirmed by the DSS.
Objections Answered
Objection: BC Greek fragments (e.g., 4Q120) prove a 2nd-century BC Septuagint.
Response: These fragments, covering only 1.7–2.6% of the OT, are disparate, not a unified text. They reflect localized translations, not a Ptolemaic commission.
Objection: NT quotations (50–80% LXX-like) suggest a pre-Christian Septuagint.
Response: Similarities stem from NT writers translating Hebrew texts, like almah to parthenos. Vaticanus/Sinaiticus were later harmonized to match NT, not quoted in the 1st century.
Objection: Jewish use (e.g., Philo) and early papyri show an early LXX.
Response: Philo cited individual Greek translations, not a standardized Septuagint. Papyri (e.g., Chester Beatty, 2nd–3rd century AD) are Christian, postdating the NT and reflecting revision, not a 2nd-century BC text.
Objection: Catholic scholarship is ecumenical, not controlling dating.Response: The Catholic Church’s history of altering scripture (Vulgate, Apocrypha) and control of Vaticanus taint its credibility. Its apostate status by the 4th century undermines its role as a neutral arbiter.
Conclusion
The 2nd-century BC Septuagint is a myth, unsupported by manuscripts, contradicted by Hebrew primacy in the NT (Matthew 5:18), and exposed as a 4th-century AD revision in unreliable minority texts like Vaticanus and Sinaiticus. The Letter of Aristeas is a forgery, BC fragments are negligible, and NT-LXX similarities reflect translation, not a unified Greek OT. The Catholic Church’s apostate influence, from the Vulgate to Apocrypha inclusion, and the dubious scholarship of Westcott and Hort, confirm the LXX’s corruption.

Daniel 1
In the third year of the reign of Jehoiakim king of Judah came Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon unto Jerusalem, and besieged it.
2 And the Lord gave Jehoiakim king of Judah into his hand, with part of the vessels of the house of God: which he carried into the land of Shinar to the house of his god; and he brought the vessels into the treasure house of his god.
3 And the king spake unto Ashpenaz the master of his eunuchs, that he should bring certain of the children of Israel, and of the king's seed, and of the princes;
4 Children in whom was no blemish, but well favoured, and skilful in all wisdom, and cunning in knowledge, and understanding science, and such as had ability in them to stand in the king's palace, and whom they might teach the learning and the tongue of the Chaldeans.
5 And the king appointed them a daily provision of the king's meat, and of the wine which he drank: so nourishing them three years, that at the end thereof they might stand before the king.
6 Now among these were of the children of Judah, Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah:
7 Unto whom the prince of the eunuchs gave names: for he gave unto Daniel the name of Belteshazzar; and to Hananiah, of Shadrach; and to Mishael, of Meshach; and to Azariah, of Abednego.
8 But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king's meat, nor with the wine which he drank: therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself.
9 Now God had brought Daniel into favour and tender love with the prince of the eunuchs.
10 And the prince of the eunuchs said unto Daniel, I fear my lord the king, who hath appointed your meat and your drink: for why should he see your faces worse liking than the children which are of your sort? then shall ye make me endanger my head to the king.
11 Then said Daniel to Melzar, whom the prince of the eunuchs had set over Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah,
12 Prove thy servants, I beseech thee, ten days; and let them give us pulse to eat, and water to drink.
13 Then let our countenances be looked upon before thee, and the countenance of the children that eat of the portion of the king's meat: and as thou seest, deal with thy servants.
14 So he consented to them in this matter, and proved them ten days.
15 And at the end of ten days their countenances appeared fairer and fatter in flesh than all the children which did eat the portion of the king's meat.
16 Thus Melzar took away the portion of their meat, and the wine that they should drink; and gave them pulse.
17 As for these four children, God gave them knowledge and skill in all learning and wisdom: and Daniel had understanding in all visions and dreams.
18 Now at the end of the days that the king had said he should bring them in, then the prince of the eunuchs brought them in before Nebuchadnezzar.
19 And the king communed with them; and among them all was found none like Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah: therefore stood they before the king.
20 And in all matters of wisdom and understanding, that the king enquired of them, he found them ten times better than all the magicians and astrologers that were in all his realm.
21 And Daniel continued even unto the first year of king Cyrus.

1 Peter 2:4-8
To whom coming, as unto a living stone, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God, and precious, Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ. Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded. Unto you therefore which believe he is precious: but unto them which be disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner, And a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence, even to them which stumble at the word, being disobedient: whereunto also they were appointed.

26 The king answered and said to Daniel, whose name was Belteshazzar, Art thou able to make known unto me the dream which I have seen, and the interpretation thereof?
27 Daniel answered in the presence of the king, and said, The secret which the king hath demanded cannot the wise men, the astrologers, the magicians, the soothsayers, shew unto the king;
28 But there is a God in heaven that revealeth secrets, and maketh known to the king Nebuchadnezzar what shall be in the latter days. Thy dream, and the visions of thy head upon thy bed, are these;
29 As for thee, O king, thy thoughts came into thy mind upon thy bed, what should come to pass hereafter: and he that revealeth secrets maketh known to thee what shall come to pass.
30 But as for me, this secret is not revealed to me for any wisdom that I have more than any living, but for their sakes that shall make known the interpretation to the king, and that thou mightest know the thoughts of thy heart.
31 Thou, O king, sawest, and behold a great image. This great image, whose brightness was excellent, stood before thee; and the form thereof was terrible.
32 This image's head was of fine gold, his breast and his arms of silver, his belly and his thighs of brass,
33 His legs of iron, his feet part of iron and part of clay.
34 Thou sawest till that a stone was cut out without hands, which smote the image upon his feet that were of iron and clay, and brake them to pieces.
35 Then was the iron, the clay, the brass, the silver, and the gold, broken to pieces together, and became like the chaff of the summer threshingfloors; and the wind carried them away, that no place was found for them: and the stone that smote the image became a great mountain, and filled the whole earth.
36 This is the dream; and we will tell the interpretation thereof before the king.
37 Thou, O king, art a king of kings: for the God of heaven hath given thee a kingdom, power, and strength, and glory.
38 And wheresoever the children of men dwell, the beasts of the field and the fowls of the heaven hath he given into thine hand, and hath made thee ruler over them all. Thou art this head of gold.
39 And after thee shall arise another kingdom inferior to thee, and another third kingdom of brass, which shall bear rule over all the earth.
40 And the fourth kingdom shall be strong as iron: forasmuch as iron breaketh in pieces and subdueth all things: and as iron that breaketh all these, shall it break in pieces and bruise.
41 And whereas thou sawest the feet and toes, part of potters' clay, and part of iron, the kingdom shall be divided; but there shall be in it of the strength of the iron, forasmuch as thou sawest the iron mixed with miry clay.
42 And as the toes of the feet were part of iron, and part of clay, so the kingdom shall be partly strong, and partly broken.
43 And whereas thou sawest iron mixed with miry clay, they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men: but they shall not cleave one to another, even as iron is not mixed with clay.
44 And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever.
45 Forasmuch as thou sawest that the stone was cut out of the mountain without hands, and that it brake in pieces the iron, the brass, the clay, the silver, and the gold; the great God hath made known to the king what shall come to pass hereafter: and the dream is certain, and the interpretation thereof sure.
46 Then the king Nebuchadnezzar fell upon his face, and worshipped Daniel, and commanded that they should offer an oblation and sweet odours unto him.
47 The king answered unto Daniel, and said, Of a truth it is, that your God is a God of gods, and a Lord of kings, and a revealer of secrets, seeing thou couldest reveal this secret.

The Septuagint Myth: Debunking the 2nd Century BC Narrative
The traditional narrative of the Septuagint (LXX), a supposed 2nd-century BC Greek translation of the Old Testament (OT), is a historical fraud that cannot withstand scrutiny.
The claim—rooted in the pseudepigraphic Letter of Aristeas—that 72 Jewish translators from all 12 tribes, commissioned by Ptolemy II, produced a unified Greek OT is not only implausible but contradicted by manuscript evidence, textual analysis, and biblical context.
As a defender of God’s preserved word in the Hebrew Masoretic Text (MT) and Byzantine Majority Text, I argue that the LXX, as known today in 4th-century AD manuscripts like Codex Vaticanus and Codex Sinaiticus, is a Roman Catholic fabrication, revised to align with New Testament (NT) quotations and shaped by the apostate Catholic Church’s agenda to alter scripture.
Below, I synthesize my case, grounded in the King James Bible (KJV), exposing the LXX myth and its unreliable minority text foundations.
The Letter of Aristeas: A Forgery
The Letter of Aristeas, dated to the 2nd century BC, claims Ptolemy II (285–246 BC) commissioned 72 translators—six from each of Israel’s 12 tribes—to translate the Torah into Greek for the Library of Alexandria. This story is a fabrication.
No Egyptian records corroborate Ptolemy’s commission, and the letter’s miraculous account of identical translations reeks of legend, not history.
The involvement of scribes from the 10 northern tribes, dispersed by Assyria in 722 BC (2 Kings 17:6), is anachronistic nonsense, as these tribes were effectively lost. Even non-Levite scribes translating sacred texts stretches credulity, given the Levites’ exclusive role in preserving scripture (Deuteronomy 31:25–26). The Letter is a pseudepigraphic attempt to legitimize Greek texts for Hellenistic Jews, not a historical record.
Scant Manuscript Evidence
Manuscript evidence demolishes the idea of a 2nd-century BC Septuagint. Only 1.7–2.6% of the OT survives in Greek from BC sources, per fragments like 4Q120 (Leviticus, 1st century BC) and Papyrus Fouad 266 (Deuteronomy, 2nd–1st century BC). These scraps, covering parts of the Torah and Minor Prophets, are far from a complete OT.
No unified Greek OT manuscript exists from the 1st century AD, when the NT was written. The earliest complete LXX texts—Codex Vaticanus and Codex Sinaiticus—date to the 4th century AD, over 500 years after the supposed translation. These minority texts, riddled with thousands of variants (e.g., 6,000–7,000 NT differences), lack the reliability of the harmonious MT, which aligns closely with the Dead Sea Scrolls (DSS, 250 BC–70 AD).
The DSS, with over 200 Hebrew manuscripts, confirm the MT’s stability, while Greek fragments show textual diversity, suggesting ad hoc translations, not a standardized Septuagint.
Hebrew Primacy in the NT Era
The NT assumes a Hebrew textual context, not a Greek one.
In Matthew 5:18 (KJV), Jesus declares, “Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law.” “Jot” (Hebrew yod, smallest letter) and “tittle” (scribal stroke) refer to Hebrew script, meaningless in Greek. This underscores that Hebrew scrolls, not a Greek LXX, were read in 1st-century Judean synagogues (Luke 4:16–20). The DSS, overwhelmingly Hebrew, and rabbinic practices (e.g., Mishnah, Megillah 4:4) confirm Hebrew’s primacy.
While Greek was spoken, NT writers like Paul, fluent in Hebrew, likely translated Hebrew texts into Greek for their audience, not quoted a non-existent Septuagint. Similarities between NT quotations (e.g., Isaiah 7:14, “virgin” in Matthew 1:23) and later LXX texts (e.g., parthenos) result from natural translation of Hebrew terms like almah (virgin or young maiden), not reliance on a unified Greek OT.
Almah and Translation Integrity
The claim that NT writers quoted an LXX misreading of almah in Isaiah 7:14 (KJV: “a virgin shall conceive”) is baseless.
The traditional narrative of the Septuagint (LXX), a supposed 2nd-century BC Greek translation of the Old Testament (OT), is a historical fraud that cannot withstand scrutiny.

Now Daniel 2 is a familiar story. King Nebuchadnezzar has a dream that troubles him, and he cannot recall what it was, but seeks someone to tell him the dream and its meaning.
And all the wizards and wise men of Chaldea cannot do this impossible task. The king orders that all his advisors be put to death for their inability to do this, including Daniel and his friends, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah (Rack, Shack and Benny).
But Daniel stays the hand of the man, Arioch the king's captain, by asking him to give Daniel time, and a promise that the Jewish eunuch could find out the kings dream and interpretation.
And in prayer the matter is made known to him by God. And he brings it to Nebuchadnezzar.
That the king dreamed of an idol, a collosal image. Head of gold, chest and two arms of silver, belly and thighs of brass, legs of iron and feet, iron mixed with clay.
And the interpretation thereof,
The Head of Gold: Babylonian Empire
The Chest and Arms of Silver: Medo-Persian Empire
The Belly and Thighs of Brass (Bronze): Greek Empire (Macedonian, under Alexander the Great)
Legs of Iron, the Roman Empire
Feet of Iron and Clay: the Roman Empire divided, and then scattered among the nations.
This is the history that came to pass.
And then we see Jesus. The stone cut from the mountain, without hands. The stone the builders rejected. The foundation upon which is built the everlasting Kingdom. Destroying the kingdoms of men.
Matthew 21:42
Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes?
Forasmuch as thou sawest that the stone was cut out of the mountain without hands, and that it brake in pieces the iron, the brass, the clay, the silver, and the gold; the great God hath made known to the king what shall come to pass hereafter: and the dream is certain, and the interpretation thereof sure.
Mark 12:10
And have ye not read this scripture; The stone which the builders rejected is become the head of the corner
Peter to the Sanhedrin in Acts 4:11
This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner.
Because we know the empires came to pass, and the truth of the prophecy, how can we doubt the promise of God in Christ?
Isn't it marvelous in your sight?

Daniel 2
And in the second year of the reign of Nebuchadnezzar Nebuchadnezzar dreamed dreams, wherewith his spirit was troubled, and his sleep brake from him.
2 Then the king commanded to call the magicians, and the astrologers, and the sorcerers, and the Chaldeans, for to shew the king his dreams. So they came and stood before the king.
3 And the king said unto them, I have dreamed a dream, and my spirit was troubled to know the dream.
4 Then spake the Chaldeans to the king in Syriack, O king, live for ever: tell thy servants the dream, and we will shew the interpretation.
5 The king answered and said to the Chaldeans, The thing is gone from me: if ye will not make known unto me the dream, with the interpretation thereof, ye shall be cut in pieces, and your houses shall be made a dunghill.
6 But if ye shew the dream, and the interpretation thereof, ye shall receive of me gifts and rewards and great honour: therefore shew me the dream, and the interpretation thereof.
7 They answered again and said, Let the king tell his servants the dream, and we will shew the interpretation of it.
8 The king answered and said, I know of certainty that ye would gain the time, because ye see the thing is gone from me.
9 But if ye will not make known unto me the dream, there is but one decree for you: for ye have prepared lying and corrupt words to speak before me, till the time be changed: therefore tell me the dream, and I shall know that ye can shew me the interpretation thereof.
10 The Chaldeans answered before the king, and said, There is not a man upon the earth that can shew the king's matter: therefore there is no king, lord, nor ruler, that asked such things at any magician, or astrologer, or Chaldean.
11 And it is a rare thing that the king requireth, and there is none other that can shew it before the king, except the gods, whose dwelling is not with flesh.
12 For this cause the king was angry and very furious, and commanded to destroy all the wise men of Babylon.
13 And the decree went forth that the wise men should be slain; and they sought Daniel and his fellows to be slain.
14 Then Daniel answered with counsel and wisdom to Arioch the captain of the king's guard, which was gone forth to slay the wise men of Babylon:
15 He answered and said to Arioch the king's captain, Why is the decree so hasty from the king? Then Arioch made the thing known to Daniel.
16 Then Daniel went in, and desired of the king that he would give him time, and that he would shew the king the interpretation.
17 Then Daniel went to his house, and made the thing known to Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah, his companions:
18 That they would desire mercies of the God of heaven concerning this secret; that Daniel and his fellows should not perish with the rest of the wise men of Babylon.
19 Then was the secret revealed unto Daniel in a night vision. Then Daniel blessed the God of heaven.
20 Daniel answered and said, Blessed be the name of God for ever and ever: for wisdom and might are his:
21 And he changeth the times and the seasons: he removeth kings, and setteth up kings: he giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding:
22 He revealeth the deep and secret things: he knoweth what is in the darkness, and the light dwelleth with him.
23 I thank thee, and praise thee, O thou God of my fathers, who hast given me wisdom and might, and hast made known unto me now what we desired of thee: for thou hast now made known unto us the king's matter.
24 Therefore Daniel went in unto Arioch, whom the king had ordained to destroy the wise men of Babylon: he went and said thus unto him; Destroy not the wise men of Babylon: bring me in before the king, and I will shew unto the king the interpretation.
25 Then Arioch brought in Daniel before the king in haste, and said thus unto him, I have found a man of the captives of Judah, that will make known unto the king the interpretation.

And so after the 3 years of preparation, the king brought the eunuchs in and found none as excellent as Daniel and the others. 10 times better than all the magicians and astrologers that were in all his realm. And so now Daniel as well as Rack, Shack and Benny, in are on good terms with the King. And Daniel will continue as an advisor over the next several monarchs. In a position to do Godly things for the Lord in an ungodly place.
This is why it's so important for us to be a good witness in the world. If we have secular jobs we have to let the light of God shine through us. As we will see later on it will lead to great things for the Lord. But it starts with obedience and humility.

While I am on the subject of false doctrine coming from this chapter, those that claim this was changed;
The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, and the lion shall eat straw like the bullock..
That it "used to say the lamb lay down with the Lion! The Bible has been Mandela-effected!!" God's word is preserved by His power. It is an unchanging rock, settled in Heaven before the foundation of the world.
So no, you're wrong.
While it can be fun to have alternate theories of things of this world, when your schizo take leads to blasphemy, and profane babblings like this, take a step back and realize; sometimes you just are remembering an extra biblical account, or popular culture references.
God's word doesn't change.

Before I begin, I want to recognize that Daniel's prayer, blessing the Lord our God should be ours as well. Our God is an awesome God.
I've written about it before, especially in the prophets, that the prophecies of the Bible are so precise, prescient and perfect, that it is impossible to believe anything other than an omniscient God could have made them known.
The Old Testament is for our admonition, to instruct us in the ways of righteousness and make known the mystery of the gospel. That faith comes from hearing the word of God.
How can you not see Daniel 2 as evidence of things unseen? The substance of things hoped for? How can it be read, and from our vantage point, and not lead one to fall to their knees and worship the living God who made his future, our past, known to Daniel?
And then, knowing this, how can you hear the promises of God in Christ, eternal life, the resurrection of the dead and His everlasting Kingdom and not trust that they are true?
So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

More and more we will see mainline Protestants and Americanized Catholicism, as well as denominations like the SBC and other dominionist Evangelical sects merge into a single entity, that will pave the way for the Beast one world religion.

God’s preserved word lies in the MT and the Byzantine Majority Text, faithfully rendered in the KJV. Let us reject the LXX myth and uphold the true scriptures.
09.05.202515:01
The captivity of Judah, long prophesied, begins. And the Lord gave Jerusalem and her king to Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon. And with it much of the vessels of Solomon's temple, brought to Shinar, and the house of Nebuchadnezzar's god. This will be important later, after the captivity ends under Cyrus of the Persians.
And among the captives, those of David's lineage, of Judah, were brought into the service of the king as eunuchs. In hopes the highborn would have better intellect and ability to learn the Babylonian tongue, Chaldean, as well as its learning and ways, to better serve the king.
We meet Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah, and they are given Chaldean names; Daniel the name of Belteshazzar; and to Hananiah, of Shadrach; and to Mishael, of Meshach; and to Azariah, of Abednego.
(I still call the three Rack, Shack and Benny. Old habits die hard)
In a show of magnanimity, the king allows the eunuchs to eat of his meat and drink, the food apparently offered to his god. With the intent that they grow to be nourished enough to stand before the king and serve him.
But Daniel asks the prince of the eunuchs, his overseer, if rather than defile themselves with the meat and drink offered to idols, if he and the three others may eat pulse, that is lentils.
Daniel, meek and faithful, doesn't rebel against the authority in his life, and yet doesn't compromise his faith and love of God. He instead asks permission.
When the prince of the eunuchs explains that it would get him in trouble if they seem to be less healthy than those who ate the king's portion, Daniel offers him a compromise; feed them 10 days and try them. If they aren't any worse for it, then honor this request.
Many people today hate the idea of submitting to authority. They want to riot in the daytime, and seek to use their faith to justify their rebellion.
They say they won't pay taxes, despite Jesus saying to render unto Caesar. Despite clear commands to render duty and honor and tribute to those set above us by God. Men refusing to submit to any authority. Refusing to join a church and submit themselves to a pastor. Who slack off at work, and constantly disrespecting their bosses.
This encourages the feminism that tells wives to rebel against husbands, and children against parents. Ultimately, it is rebellion against God.
The Bible says For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry.
But what if authority over you asks you to do something that would offend God? Daniel shows us how it is done.
Meekly asking to be tried, the overseer agrees and after 10 days the four are healthier looking than all the other eunuchs. Daniel honored the authority in his life and pleased God. An example for us to follow.

1 Corinthians 6:18-20
Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body. What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.
If you are currently living with or fornicating with your boyfriend or girlfriend, you should stop and get married.
1 Corinthians 7:2
But to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband.
1 Corinthians 5:9-11
I wrote unto you in an epistle not to company with fornicators: Yet not altogether with the fornicators of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or with idolaters; for then must ye needs go out of the world. But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolator, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat.
You should be disciplined out of the church if you are living in sin or engaging in fornication, and won't abstain and get married.
